I’m headed that way on Sunday. I’ll be proud to be in his jurisdiction, if only for a week.

Damn, from the vid, the old guy took one hell of a hit face first into the ground, probably lucky he didn't break his neck the way he hit.
That was bad and totally needless.

I’ve put a lot of men on the ground, and that cop had absolutely no cares about breaking that man and putting him in the hospital, a serious attack that had no cause.
In the distant past cops did not feel they had the right to force total submission on every person they met, instantly, as a part of talking to you.
The talking and interaction with people is almost entirely gone, now it is physical violence or shooting almost instantly, you barely get the word, what??? out of your mouth before you are being treated as though you are feloniously resisting arrest.

I can not imagine myself calling 911
just because I saw someone walking down the sidewalk.

The weird thing about it is that the Indian guy wasn't moving or doing anything when he got flipped onto his face. I simply cannot see why the cop decided that that was the ideal moment to put the guy violently to the ground -- even the other policeman seems surprised.
If you're going to put a compliant, elderly, handcuffed man on the ground for seemingly no reason, at least do it gently. Sheesh.

Seems like the State of Alabama usually does the "right" thing.
The cop was not representing the Southern culture as I know it.

Omg,, ok. That pig needs his ass kicked badly. Really badly.
I don't use the term Pig but this guy represents one. Just damn.
I know many Indian people and they are the most harmless of all the
cultures I've ever met. I treat them with respect because they treat
myself and others the same. This is just horrible.

Another example of the militarization of police where the police see the public as enemies who need to be killed.

It’s heartbreaking to see this family have to suffer like this. That old man is now crippled and the family will have to take care of him and he will probably suffer pain for the remainder of his life.
They brought him from India in poverty to live a good life the grandson had created here in America. And now this happens. So sad.
It’s not about Alabama. It is about brutal police tactics being taught and used across the US. It all started with the attacks of 911 and new police terrorist training. It is like some of the police officers are trained in a mindset of being at war with Americans.
Police used to respect the elderly and be careful with them because they are easily injured. : (
