Silver, gold, stainless or plastic. Can’t tell the difference when eating Navy chow.

I even take my 25 year old chopsticks with me to Chinese restaurants. I don’t really like the plastic ones the better places have, and the little wooden ones are just too short, but easier for “round-eyes” to manipulate.

I saw a young guy at work (hipster-type judging by his mannerisms, especially his valley girl up talking) eating his Greek yogurt with a big wooden spoon, like the kind you would use to stir a pot. I really had to restrain myself from slapping it out of his hand.
And then I saw another person eating his candy bar with a knife and fork! Has the world gone insane?

Yeah! Cuz silver spoons would for sure spoil the flavor.

Nonsense! Silver is good for you!

"...Silver kills bacteria/germs hence silverware..."This needs to be shouted from the rooftops.
Humans in an earlier era saw that those who used silver cutlery and drinking vessels had a lower incidence of illness.
Silver kills bacteria and viruses, and this has been shown over and over. It is not controversial or in dispute.
The controversy bagan with the invention of pharmacuetical antibiotics, which did the same thing, sorta, and not as well, and with far more expense.
Pharmacueticals can be patented. Medical silver cannot.

the Institute of Making Unless that's a city in China, it strikes me as the dumbest organization since the Association of People Who Do Stuff.

The reason that guy turned blue is not from the silver per se.
He turned blue for 2 reasons:
1: He used massive doses, and
2: He did not use pure distilled water. Silver readly bonds with other molecules, specifically chlorine in this case. When chlorine is present it makes silver chloride either in the final product or even within your body if it can find chlorine in your body. This is what migrates to your skin and turns it blue.
Thus, when I make Colloidal Silver I am careful not to use tap water or allow anything into the mix that can corrupt the final product.
There are millions of folks who use silver medicinally that have not and will never turn blue.

I just avoid sugar and salt and other spices, then stuff stops tasting good and I can use any utensil.
