As Jews Depart, European Civilization Dies
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 2/11/2015 | Terry Jones

It sounds like some kind of mysterious demographic whodunnit: "The case of the missing Jews." Except it´s no real mystery. After years of hostility, both at the government and personal level, declining fertility rates and growing emigration, Jews now make up their smallest share of Europe´s population in hundreds of years.

Have you ever thought about what would happen to your faith if Israel was destroyed or became a state like South Africa is today and the world kept turning and history was still made?

Jews leaving Europe. Can Christians be far behind?
I don’t read NRO too much but this was really disturbing. It’s in Great Britain but you can easily see it will be coming here soon. What’s happening there is just a preview of what we should expect here. With Internet ID and restrictions on free speech it’s not far fetched. Jews are the canary in the coal mine. We are living in dangerous times. It’s not the only thing (unrighteousness is the big one) but apathy is killing us.

The Jews are going home to Israel probably to be murdered by an Iranian nuclear strike.

Orrrr..... Iran will be hit first -- by Israel.

“Have you ever thought about what would happen to your faith if Israel was destroyed or became a state like South Africa is today and the world kept turning and history was still made?”

A laughably asinine question. I mean, just out of curiosity, have YOU ever thought about what would happen to your smug certitude if what YOU believe, as a basis for living, turned out to be utter crap?

How much of the post-1991 decline in European Jewry is due to emigration from the former Soviet Union to Israel and elsewhere, including the United States? Looking at the chart on the web site, it looks as if there has been a steady decline in Jewish numbers throughout the post-World War II era. Survivors of the concentration camps were not exactly welcome in their former Eastern European home countries, which swiftly turned Communist after the end of World War II. French, Dutch, Belgian, Italian, and Danish Jews fared better than the Eastern European brethren. Israel was a better bet for them. There were also several immigration waves from the Soviet Union before the fall of Communism.

How many of the Jewish emigrants from Europe have come from the Western democracies? Particularly the UK, which was never occupied by the Nazis.

Basically, the “God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” has staked his own reputation and the reputation of His Word on the fact that He can and will keep Israel as a nation before Him forevermore.

IN OTHER WORDS, He’s saying if he can’t or doesn’t do THIS VERY THING, then He is not the God who knows all, the beginning from the end and the situation is not as he says, that there is NO OTHER GOD besides Himself.

SO, you’re right in that if he does NOT do as he says, he is not God as He says He is and how He describes Himself.

NOW ... thus far, from the time of Creation to now ... He has done everything that He said He would. So, if you’re asking me if he will continue doing so on the remaining things left ... I’ll say YES according to his track record thus far! ... :-) ...

One additional thing, too ... for other Christians, if God can’t preserve Israel (is unable to do so, because of things He cannot control) ... He will not be able to fulfill his promise either for Ressurection.

A more pertinent case is that of Sweden. With the advent of mass Muslim immigration has come pervasive anti-Semitism. The Jews of Sweden (a nation never occupied by the Nazis or affected directly by WWII) are now under assault by Muslims. They are hence leaving Sweden in increasing numbers.

You would question your faith in God instead of your faith in man’s interpretation of eschatology?

During the Tribulation time (that 7-year period of God’s judgement on this earth), there will be a remnant saved for the time of the return of the Messiah of Israel. That remnant will be 1/3 of the population of Jews, who started out at the beginning of the Tribulaion. They (that remnant) are saved throughout that time period to see the return of their Messiah and the King of Israel and ruler of the world.

Thus, Iran will NOT be able to destroy Israel or the Jews. God says He will keep Israel as a nation before him forevermore. Israel is the ONLY NATION in the world that He says that too. No other nation in the world has that promise from God!

When God says he will keep Israel as a nation before Him forevermore, and I see that He had said that in His Word, that doesn’t leave any room for “interpretation” ... :-) ...

“Why”.

Well. One it isn’t really a question, it’s a an assertion representing an OPPOSITE hard view that otherwise goes unsupported by the questioner. (Basically it’s pointless).

Two: It attacks a view that bows to millennia of History the result of which has been to elevate man to the highest level he has reached in ALL of history — on the basis that YOU(apparently)disagree with it. YOU, whose comings and goings and meanings and sayings will be dead for all of Time two minutes after you are.

This is a forum of ideas. You have an idea provoked by and in opposition to something someone said? EXPRESS IT. SUPPORT IT. Rather than just express a cheap tactic.

And then, that’s where the Anti-Christ rises from and we then enter the last seven years (the Tribulation) at the end of which, Jesus, the Messiah of Israel, returns to Israel to take control over all the nations and the earth.

It has been my understanding that Europe has always been against Israel and the Jews.

Yes, that’s true to a varying degree at varying times. After Hitler, the killing of the Jews was so horrendous, that it pushed any Anti-semitism way down and it was more or less hidden, you might say.

And that particular anti-semitism came from the Christian church and the prevalent doctrine of Supersessionism, or also known as “Replacement Theology” today. If you look at what Martin Luther (of the Protestant Reformation) carried over with him from the Catholic Church, you’ll see Anti-Semitism in his writings that was absolutely horrendous. Hitler used this “teaching” and attitude of Martin Luther as representative of the church’s attitude towards the Jews. That theology and doctrine is STILL THERE with the majority of thr Christian Church in the world. It’s not so prevalent with the Protestant Evangelical Church in America, however, although it is with the Catholic Church. And that also explains the very frosty relations of the Catholic Church with Israel, from the time of its modern state, in 1948.

So, at the time of Israel’s establishment as a modern nation in 1948, that Anti-Semitism was tamped down (as a result of the world war and Hitler). But now, it is rising again in Europe, along with the ADDITION of the influx of Muslims in Europe ... the two combining to make it a very dangerous place for the Jews nowadays (whereas it wasn’t so much a decade after the war). That’s why the Jews are fleeing Europe now, and I’m sure that this is what is spoken about in Scripture in the the Jews would be gathered back to Israel from around the world. It’s not so much that the Jews in other parts of the world are saying ... “Gosh, let’s move to Israel. That sounds like fun!” NO ... it’s more that it’s getting really dangerous in ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD for Jews, and the only safe place they can find anymore is Israel (and ... for a little while longer, the other safe place is the USA, but that won’t be forever).
