TACOMA — Police are still looking for the man accused in a violent attack on a lesbian woman.
The 45-year-old woman was attacked, stabbed and dragged by a leash early Sunday morning in what police are treating as a hate crime.
“It’s so horrific that she can’t even fathom how this could happen to anyone let alone herself,” said Gretchen, the victim’s roommate, who spoke on behalf of her friend because the victim is still so scared. “It’s so wrong.”
The woman was attacked around 2:45 a.m. Sunday morning as she left her home to look for her dog, which had run off, Tacoma police said Monday. Police said as she walked in the 900 block of East 51st Street, she passed a man and asked if he’d seen a dog run by. He pointed in a direction and she began walking that way.
As she walked into the alley, the man allegedly followed her and knocked her down from behind. The man attacked her, wrote on her in black marker and stabbed her multiple times with a pocketknife, police said. He also took her dog leash and choked her with it, police said.
Detectives say during the attack, the man screamed violent homophobic remarks and hate speech at the victim. He apparently tore away her clothes and wrote homophobic slurs on her body, and ran off when her dog began barking and biting him.

And she runs into a random stranger just happens to know she’s gay and kills her?

Her killer would have to have know she’s gay which means it wasn’t a random stranger when she goes out at 245 am
sounds more like a hook up that went bad or someone else that knew her and is trying to cover their tracks by making it seem a gay hate crime..
check the roommate/ girlfriend...
if this was a straight woman her live in boyfriend would already be suspect
Then there’s Mathew Shepherd where the media ignored all the facts and made up a story to fit their agenda. To this day few people know it had nothing to do with Shepard being homosexual, and everything to do with him being a meth head who ripped off his dealer.
Notice what is missing? No wounds to the hands.
She alleges that she fought the man off her, and then he pulled out a knife and stabbed her. Well, people who are really fighting someone off while getting stabbed have defensive wounds to their hands from trying to block the attack or grab the weapon.
Sounds like lies need to be told.

It's gotten much worse than that. If they know that insurance is in place, you may find yourself being transported from an automobile accident by helicopter. I have heard several completely believable stories recently of people being "Life Flighted" from an accident scene, and then, treated and released from the ER.
