Jon Stewart is leaving The Daily Show.
The Comedy Central host informed his audience during Tuesday night’s taping he is stepping down from his role hosting the late-night series, a post he’s held since 1999.
EW obtained this statement from Comedy Central president Michele Ganeless:
“For the better part of the last two decades, I have had the incredible honor and privilege of working with Jon Stewart. His comedic brilliance is second to none. Jon has been at the heart of Comedy Central, championing and nurturing the best talent in the industry, in front of and behind the camera. Through his unique voice and vision, The Daily Show has become a cultural touchstone for millions of fans and an unparalleled platform for political comedy that will endure for years to come. Jon will remain at the helm of The Daily Show until later this year. He is a comic genius, generous with his time and talent, and will always be a part of the Comedy Central family.”

Anyhow, sometimes people want to remain polite and they figure the person they are saying it too will not get it.
However, anyone that’s intelligent enough to read between the lines will quick know what they are really saying.

Oh good, I work Sundays often. I won’t see him while changing channels.
Been going through 6 years so far of changing channel quite quickly whenever Obama is on. Have been unlucky enough not to have gotten to the remote quick enough. Image burned in my brain is horrible.

a good replacement for Timmy on South Park.
If NBC wants to garner ratings higher than test patterns, they will back-up the brinks truck to his house.
