Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has unveiled a 42-page proposal to reform American education at the national level, one of the clearest signs yet that he is laying the groundwork to jump into the 2016 presidential primary.
At the heart of his proposal is a total repudiation of Common Core, as well as a general rollback of federal authority, increased school choice options for parents and greater administrative freedom for educators.
Jindal revealed his plan at a breakfast Monday morning hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. The actual proposal takes the form of a policy paper released through America Next, Jindals nonprofit think tank. It follows several similar proposals Jindal has made on foreign policy, energy and other major topics. However, the education proposal stands out from the pack, thanks to the governors growing status as one of the most savage critics of Common Core.
While Jindal supported the English and math standards just a few years ago, he has changed his mind and been attacking them constantly since last spring, when he gave a speech comparing them to policies in the Soviet Union.
Jindal has been battling his own school superintendent and state school board for over half a year in an effort to force Louisiana off the standards. He has also filed a lawsuit against the federal government, claiming that Common Core is an illegal federal intrusion into state sovereignty.

Yes. Now, if we just had some Justices and judges and lawyers who aren’t on some Epstein video tapes who can’t be bribed to destroy the Constitution that they pretend to uphold.
Our Rule of Law was forced into Rule of Man (totally unconstitutional) since Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. deformed our legal system and twisted Words and Language so our “Just Laws” now promote vice, slavery, Russian mafia and cartels. The “legal system” is organized, forced slavery which is entirely antithetical to our Constitution and illegal..
“There are leaders rising up among us!”
Watch for all the “Butt Monkey’s” to show up.
I really like Jindal BUT...
I’ll presume it DOESN’T involve getting rid of the DOE, DOE union goons, ‘teaching’ accreditation (learning to teach, not in the subject matter), pushing for lowering/removing property taxes and/or school choice/pay-as-you-go.
Leaders? More ‘solution(s)’ of gov’t by gov’t caused by gov’t
Count me impressed when ONE in the field starts working towards SMALLER gov’t, restoring the Republic and our Rights/Liberty/etc.
From your lips to Gods’ ears.
If Cruz doesn’t get in or if he falters, Jindal deserves a serious look. My #2 choice at this point.
I think Bobby Jindal has matured a lot in the past 6 years. I am liking him more and more.
