A parent called 9 Investigates after finding out his son was learning too much about the Islamic religion in a public classroom. The textbook has probably been implemented throughout the country. . . .coming to a school district near you. Unfortunately parents are clueless. I am tutoring this year and am finding the parents could care less.

I wonder if they are teaching the students how Mohammed treated blacks and little girls or how islam demands the death of homosexuals. My bet is they left those lessons out.
This infuriates me. And where is the ACLU and Freedom From Religion??? Imagine if they were teaching students to recite The Lord’s Prayer. I am boiling.
In a diverse society, young people should be taught about a wide variety of beliefs, cultures and faiths, and particularly about a faith practiced by millions of Americans and more than one fifth of the world's population. Denying all students access to vital information based on the biased political or religious agenda of Islam phobic groups or a handful of misinformed parents does a disservice to our school system, our state and our nation. History is not kind to those who censor information or ban books.
I agree with the revised statement. Islam should be taught in history class or world culture class or what ever they call history these days. When teaching about Islam they can start with Abraham from the book of Genesis, prove that there is no evidence that Abraham and Ishmael was ever in Mecca and did not build the Kaaba. Then go on to say that Muhammadans bow down to pray to a space rock in the Kaaba. The life story of Muhammad should be taught, from his start as a trader, to how he married a six year old and subsequently raped her when she was nine, then to how he was kicked out of Mecca, and how he attacked caravans traveling from Mecca to Damascus. Follow that up with the the Meccan Wars that he started. After that lesson would be an opportune time for an essay: Compare and contrast the life of Muhammad and Jesus Christ by listing the violent events in their lives. (P.S. turning over tables in a Temple is not a violent event.)
Quite a few muslims in America follow The Nation of Islam which other muslims say is not real Islam. This is the Islam that recruits black males in prison.
Should students be taught about the black separatist ideology of NOI and the conspiracy theories and UFO tales? Lies by omission are still lies.
What should be taught in our schools is all the truth about Islam if you want the U.S. remain free and to save from obliteration the Western civilization.

Someone recently remarked that Obama is a one man sleeper cell after hearing about his National Prayer Breakfast remarks and refusal to aid Jordan against ISIS. Sadly, his remark could not have been more accurate. Obama patiently and silently planned, as one of many in an intentional sleeper cell, to advance in America what Islam is advancing worldwide.
Muslims have overtaken most of the ground on which Jesus walked, bled, and died, from Bethlehem to Nazareth to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Muslims conquered Jerusalem in 637 A.D. Fifty years later, Muhammad’s followers deliberately began building their “second holiest” mosque on the Temple Mount replacing what they believed was the Jew’s holiest site.
Opposite the Temple Mount, across the Kidron Valley on the Mount of Olives, where Jesus sweat blood, was betrayed, and arrested, lies one of the most violent and dangerous neighborhoods in Israel. Ninety percent of terrorist attacks in Israel originate from this Palestinian neighborhood called Silowan. Indeed, Silowan is world renowned for its initiation of violence.
In the 7th Century after Muhammad fled Medina, he led numerous battles against non-Muslims. Within one generation, his converts left Arabia heading northwest to invade Mediterranean and North African regions and northeast to invade former Russian and Mongolian regions.
Muhammad’s followers sacked Jerusalem, Rome, Constantinople, and thousands of other cities and towns in which no Muslim had previously lived. In fact, it was not until several hundred years later in 1095 that Pope Urban II asked for help to liberate Rome from Islamic invasion. Even then, however, the pope did not represent Christ’s early followers. To be clear, Mr. President: It was the Muslims who invaded Spain, France, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Libya, Jordan, Syria, Iran, and Iraq — and Muhammad’s followers still are invading non-Muslims countries.
And what has Islam brought to these countries? Poverty, illiteracy, and oppression— especially of women and children. And, Mr. President, Islam has organized and implemented the most expansive slavery enterprise — ever — in history. In fact, historians have estimated that Arabs have enslaved over 100 million people over 14 centuries. Additionally, Arabs enslaved Africans 1,000 years prior to the European African slave trade and continued another 100 years after Europeans abolished it.
But Obama’s friends have made quite clear their sleeper cell’s activities.

Those who live in muslim dominant nations are enslaved to Islam today as well.
How many of the world’s one billion muslims even have a choice in the matter? There are those who face punitive tax penalties for being non-muslim and there are those who face the death penalty for converting away from Islam.
That doesn’t sound like a free people to me.
