Embattled NBC News anchor Brian Williams is backing out of scheduled appearance on David Letterman’s “Late Show” on Thursday.
That news from NBC came Sunday, a day after Williams said he was stepping away from NBC’s “Nightly News” as the network looks into the anchor’s admission that he had told a false story about being on helicopter hit by a grenade while reporting on the Iraq war.
Williams had spread the story of his helicopter being under attack during a previous “Late Show” interview with Letterman. He apologized for the statements on Wednesday, and NBC News launched an internal investigation Friday. …

The Left wants Williams to go very far away. This episode is reminding people of Hillary Clinton’s delusional war stories. If the Republicans were smart they would publicize every photo that exists with Hillary and Williams together.

Very sad situation for this man. What he did can in no way be condoned but you would have to be heartless to not at least feel some of the pain he is going through.
I do have to wonder, what show was it that faked fuel tank problems in the Chevy trucks?

I try not to feel someone else’s self-inflicted pain. Does that make me callous?No, to me it means you simply don't waste time worry about messes people created for themselves. Nothing inherently wrong in that. I probably spend too much time empathizing. So, screw him. He made a ton of money, he's still rich. He did it to himself and somewhere an honest person did not get the job he ended up with.
