That is your job. If you are not close enough, make the arrangements with others in advance.
The police are not mental health counselors, marriage counselors, rehab counselors, family coaches, anger management mediators, bed-checkers, dietary managers, or clergy in a pinch.
If you have a loved one with any of the above conditions, please make alternative arrangements for their wellness beyond calling the po-po.
Your loved ones and family are your responsibility, not a 911 dispatcher’s and certainly not anyone carrying a gun!
