"American Exceptionalism blinds those who share its gaze to uncomfortable facts and truths about their own country," wrote DeVega. Adding that just like their Islamic cohorts, "white lynchers" practiced their own "unique cultural ritual" that was just as "gruesome" and "medieval" as ISIS "for almost a century." And instead of making a video of the crime and posting the propaganda on the Internet as is done today, whites of old shared "the spectacular lynchings of the black body" through postcards and "other media."

When will white people face the facts that no white person ever picked a boll of cotton, no white person ever worked in the fields, was poor, was hanged or worked for someone who had more wealth than they. Those things only ever happened to poor, eternally downtrodden black people. They have the copyright on “woe is me, so gimme” and no one else had better dare try to use it.
One of the last recorded mass lynching was of a duo who raped a white woman during a obbery. It was a trio that did the robbery but the third member denied involvement in the rape and wasn’t lynched.
