Original Title:NASCAR LEGEND AT NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST TELLS OBAMA IF YOU DONT KNOW JESUS, YOURE GOING TO HELL.
SITTING JUST FEET AWAY FROM THE PRESIDENT, FORMER NASCAR DRIVER AND HALL-OF-FAMER, DARRELL WALTRIP, GAVE HIS CHRISTIAN TESTIMONY TO AN AUDIENCE THAT INCLUDED THE DALAI LAMA
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV)
Waltrip said If you dont know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you are going to hell. Waltrip spoke about how Jesus transformed his life. He told the audience that before he was saved, it was all about him. I did everything to satisfy me, he said.
Then he was in a severe crash during a race and everything changed.
I realized that wreck knocked me conscience, Waltrip said. It scared the hell out of me. I mean that literally. I realized, what if I had lost my life that day at Daytona? Would I have go to heaven or would I have gone to hell? I thought I was a good guy, but folks, let me tell you something: good guys go to hell.

Do have any inkling of what a “Lake of Fire” might be?
Why is it a “Lake of Fire”? Why not an Ocean of Fire?
The Son of God is taking names and numbers and will reign his wrath upon those on the list? What a nice god you got there and all this time I thought Christ had a forgiving soul, according to legend. You religious people suck. Thank your god you don't suck as much as Islamist religious people do.
So those that recognize Christ as their Savior and the Foundation for all that dwell in us SUCK?
Even the foundation of our Nation?
The same ole religious BS. Notice you didn't bother to ask me how I can believe in Judeo/Christian values without believing in your wrathfull vengeful god. You types never do. I can explain my position logically, but it wouldn't fit into your mindset and your mind will just shut down and go back to your "holy roller" BS.
What he is saying there ... comes from God’s inerrant and infallible word, the Bible, which is his “revelation” to us ... about things which we would never be able to know about unless he told us. So any real gripe you have goes back to God, and his Son, the Messiah of Israel ... Jesus.
The only possible gripe you could have against us, otherwise ... is simply that we believe God’s Word and that it is inerrant and infallible.
I didn’t ask why you believe in Judeo/Christian values because in terms of your eternal destiny, according to what God’s Word says ... that doesn’t make any difference.
Still, I live my life by Judeo/Christian values. <>
Taking the Lords name in vain will not be wise. Get some sleep.
Your comment reminded me of: De Tar Baby, he don't say nothin'.
Why so angry? Isn’t the whole thing of freedom that every man is free to live as he chooses and believe any way he chooses?
May GOD bless you and your family. In name of Yoshua...
NO. I actually love most Christians because of their values that include empathy, sympathy, and compassion. That is the answer to my question that StarTraveller wouldn't ask.
However, those who say I'm going to burn in a lake or ocean of fire because I don't subsribe to their beliefs, suck. I'm a good person and have done my duty for Country and Family and Friends. I'm tired of people telling me I'm going to "burn" when he and you and I have NO way of knowing what is beyond all this.
So, I have no choice because "...that doesn't make any difference"? So my life is dictated by "destiny"? Thought you guys believe in God's gift of free will and self-determination?
Be happy in your innocence. I wish I had it...I've tried. Rest easy, fellow Traveller. Sorry if I got a little heated.
Of course, freedom of expression is one of the most important founding ideals. Just don't tell me I'm going to burn in a "lake of fire" because I don't believe in a wrathful god of the universe. That gets my defenses up. Debate my theology position, but don't say I'm going to burn. I'm tired of hearing such.
Bless you and your family, also.
You said ... However, those who say I’m going to burn in a lake or ocean of fire because I don’t subsribe to their beliefs, suck. I’m going to include Revelation 20 here. The 1000 years is the Kingdom Age, or the Millennial Reign of Christ when he returns. After the end of that, comes the “Great White Throne Judgement” of the unsaved dead, then after that comes the new heaven and earth, spoken about in Revelation 21, which is the “eternal state” of those who are in Christ, or, those who are saved.
The “Book of Life” is where the names of the saved are written. Whomever has their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life is not subject to the Great Whote Throne Judgement. Thus all those who appear at the Great White Throne Judgement are not saved, and are judged ... based on their works, namely what they have done in their life.
Those who are saved are not judged based on their works, but are judged on the basis of Jesus Christ’s righteousness, and are granted entry into the eternal state to be with God, forevermore on Jesus Christ’s works (and not on the individual’s own deeds).
Since those who appear at the Great White Throne Judgement rejected being judged on the basis of Christ’s righteousness, those people are judged on their own deeds ... and God has already said and made it clear that NO ONE can qualify based on their own deeds. So these people who have rejected being judged on the basis of Christ’s righteousness, have condemned themselves because of their rejection.
Revelation 20 NKJV
1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;
3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison
8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.
9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Obama doesn’t know Jesus, he will go back where he was spawned: hell.
The “choice” that is involved in one’s eternal destiny ... is a choice of whether the person will be judged (1) on the basis of Jesus Christ’s righteousness [and God says he was perfectly righteous in all ways], or (2) judged on the basis of that person’s actions and choices throughout their life on earth [and God says that we have all failed in that regard].
That choice is enacted through either the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and their personal Savior ... or ... rejection of that. That is the choice ... and that choice means either being judged on the basis of Christ’s righteousness or on the basis of one’s own actions and deeds throughout their life on earth.
THERE ... is the critical choice for one’s eternal destiny.
And you can see Post #54 for more.
Again, sorry if I went over the top...no excuses. Take care and enjoy life. I'm believe you are a good man and mean well.
Guy, what I don’t get is in your view some one presents any myth, legend, fable as truth why would it have any effect on you at all.
Some one tells you Santa won’t bring you a present if you don’t beleive do you get defensive?
If anything someone out side your sphere of personal influence says or does effects you emotionally then maybe there is more at work......
So, since you're so sure how Hell looks like, please tell me what Heaven looks like. Is it the reverse graphics with clear skies, flowing warm clouds, pearly gates, bright shining lights, people floating around in a mist, full body experience that feels all our 5 senses, connecting with past family that we didn't like nor had a relationship in life, etc.? What? Please tell me, I sincerely want to know.
