Of course, freedom of expression is one of the most important founding ideals. Just don't tell me I'm going to burn in a "lake of fire" because I don't believe in a wrathful god of the universe. That gets my defenses up. Debate my theology position, but don't say I'm going to burn. I'm tired of hearing such.

Guy, what I don’t get is in your view some one presents any myth, legend, fable as truth why would it have any effect on you at all.
Some one tells you Santa won’t bring you a present if you don’t beleive do you get defensive?
If anything someone out side your sphere of personal influence says or does effects you emotionally then maybe there is more at work......
This question is frequently seen as an attack but it’s not. It’s not coming from one man to another. It’s coming from God to us all. None of us are perfect but salvation is based on faith and not good works.
