In an interview with Munich-based daily Süddeutsche Zeitung published on Thursday, American Vice President Joe Biden discussed possible solutions to the Ukraine-Russia conflict ahead of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s U.S. visit.
Biden’s interview left no doubt that the U.S. would not be answering Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s request for weapons aid from NATO countries against Russia’s advances in the country’s eastern regions.
“We’ve said from the beginning that for this crisis, there is no military solution,” he said in the written interview with Süddeutsche and its European news partners. …

The solution to Ukraine is to either defend it from Russia or for the Russians to pull out.
I guess I am over thinking this.
A weak America plays into Putins hands. Ukraine should cut her best deal with Russia—they lose the east but might gain some cheap gas or a trade deal—the west will do zip to save them. Peace is needed.
Peace is kaput if the US is weak. Appeasing tyrants has only one end.
Biden is good for putting the kibosh on distateful items like this w/o saying a whole lot of actual policy
