President Barack Obama stirred outraged with his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast Thursday, comparing the atrocities committed by ISIS to those of Christians "in the name of Christ."
"Unless we get on our high horse and think that this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ," Obama said. "In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ."
"So it is not unique to one group or one religion," Obama said. He gives only partial facts to rationalize irrational islam.
One reason for the revolutionary war - among others - was that King George would not let any colony abolish slavery. As soon as war declared about 7 of the colonies - now states - passed laws immediately or very soon thereafter abolishing slavery.
Obama also leaves out the people who passed Jim Crow laws and Segregation were DEMOCRATS. Who also were in the Klan for the large part. Who still had one serving in WV until he croaked, old Sheets Byrd. Who push abortion on minorities aka Margaret Sanger and her eugenics policies.
He also fails to point out how Jom Crow and Segregation have any origins in Christianity here in America. He just says it so it must be true. Right.

Christianity is based on Jesus Christ, and the New Testament. Islam is based on Mohammed, and the Koran and haditha and sura.
Christianity is founded on the belief that one should strive to be Christlike. Jesus was a pacifist, and was full of love for others and the creatures His father created. Islam, on the other, sees Mohammed as the ideal, perfection, and its adherents strive to be like him (i.e., a bandit, warlord, pedophile, rapist, murdered, torturer, and liar.
Jesus told his followers to spread the faith through love. Mohammed instructed his followers to spread islam by the sword.

As I posted on another thread...he DID listen to Rev Wright’s sermons.
We need to talk about the here and now. The establishment churches did do bad things in the name of Christ — back in the Middle Ages when nobody but monks and priests were allowed to know what Christ really said. But when is the last time when anyone —without severe condemnation and armed response — quoted Bible passages to justify killing anyone?
