Wednesday at the Detroit Economic Club, former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) said to create high, sustained economic growth, we need to dramatically expand immigrants that are coming to work.
Bush said, It seems to me we ought to be strategic about this about how do we create high, sustained economic growth And that is to shift away from family reunification being almost the sole driver of illegal immigration to narrowing that do what every other country has, spouse and minor children. And dramatically expanding immigrants that are coming to work. A guest worker program to deal in the areas where there are shortages.

WOW, thats three of them
Ted Cruz Press release:Legal immigration is a fundamental pillar of our nation's heritage, and I was pleased today to offer legislation that would haveimproved and expanded legal immigration by dramatically increasing the cap for high-tech temporary worker visas. This amendment would not only improve the current system, but would also encourage economic growth and create new jobs in America. There is currently a serious shortage of workers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math, yet every year we send thousands of high-tech graduate students back to their home countries to start businesses and create jobs. This makes no sense. Im disappointed in the committees vote to reject expanding high-tech immigration. Although the Gang of Eight's bill makes a modest step towards improving high-tech immigration, it does not go nearly far enough. There is no reason to arbitrarily cap high-tech visas at 110,000 when these jobs are going unfilled. We need economic growth here and now.
How about we worry about jobs for real Americans.
I think Dauphin Bush is so enamored with the Catholic Hispanic culture he wants that to replace the dominant Anglo-European culture.
Welcome to another Bush to run for dictator of Amerika. That is if the current dictator leaves. I ain’t convinced of that yet.
This is sad, but I really do wonder if he’d be willing to endorse her if he loses the primary. Since the Bushes and Clintons are as thick as thieves..
Keep it up bush. We don’t want you anyway.
There aren’t any jobs for huge numbers of Americans who want to work.
The CEO of Gallup research says that as many as 30 million US workers are now either out of work or severely underemployed.
Obama is illegally bringing in immigrants and giving them work permits.
Businesses are laying off even more American citizens and replacing them with Obama’s immigrants.
Now Jeb Bush wants to expand that program?
He is nuts.
>>FUJB!!<<
Yea...x10
I think you are 100% correct.
>>Obama is illegally bringing in immigrants and giving them work permits<<
Brotha-man, it ain’t just Obozo/socialist. Big gubbamint publicans are up to their eyeballs complicit in giving mulit-national corporations the cheap workforce they’ve paid them for.
surprise surprise surprise
Prove it. And self-serving statements by company CEOs don't count, especially when they lay off tens of thousands of Americans.
He’s a spokesman for the ONE WORLD ELITISTS....that’s all he is...
In the long run, increasing the supply of labor in a modern division of labor economic system does help to increase total production, and leads to a higher rate of economic progress, because it leads to a expanded division of labor,an increase in the supply of capital goods, and an increase in capital accumulation, but at what cost.
In the short run, in a welfare statist economy, illegal immigration and unrestricted legal immigration becomes a burden on the welfare system which causes a genuine loss imposed on the people already here.
Tell that to Americans working in IT who are being replaced by a flood of Indian H1B workers. This should not happen to American families.
dramatically expand immigrants that are coming to work.
translation: Take them all to Taco Bell and force-feed them until their average weight is 290.
“A certain governor of Wisconsin shares those sentiments too!”
Is that you, Hillary?
