Hypothetical....what's going to happen when Ebola or some other yucky disease spreads, and there's a new untested vaccine for it, with absolutely no clue what its long-term impact will be? Are we being conditioned to accept getting that vaccine perhaps by mandate for the good of those who can't or whatever?

Am I the only one who's totally turned off by being told to succumb to others thinking? I'd be much more likely to make an objective decision if I were given the facts, both pro and con, without bias, and asked to make an informed decision.

You are correct.

You'd think at least we on this site wouldn't be so willing to unquestioningly accept what we are told by our 'betters' in the fedgov.

I can be trusted to own a gun. Likewise I will be trusted to decide what is right for my family.

Hypothetical: what if the vaccine for that were really a sterilization shot?
It would be a quick way to get virtually everyone in the country sterilized at once; would you put that past those who wish to establish one world governance?

I like how CS Lewis put it:

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”
― C.S. Lewis
