I don't know about that: There is a reason why 99.9% of Palestinians are also Jordanian. Palestine was carved out of Jordan when the State of Israel was created. Palestine never existed as a separate and distinct nation-state. Jordan was always the soil upon which Palestine rested.
Still, killing that guy has pissed off a whole lot of moderate Jordanians, and the king will start to really play ball now as a staunch coalition ally.
