Ted Cruz’s top ten list of Republican goals

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Monday outlined a list of 10 major policy goals that the Republican Congress should pursue over the next two years, and said Republicans finally have a chance now to contrast themselves against Democrats.

“Let’s lead with a big, bold positive agenda that says to the American people, you had a referendum and you rejected the Obama agenda,” Cruz told Heritage Action on Monday. “There is a better way.”

Cruz said his list may not be possible under President Barack Obama, but warned that failing to try would mean lost elections in the future. “Not only will we not win elections, we’ll get walloped, and we’ll deserve to get walloped,” he said.

Here’s Cruz’s list:

1) “Embrace a big, positive jobs, growth and opportunity agenda.” He said that needs to include not just approval of the Keystone pipeline, but other jobs bills, including easing federal regulations.

2) “We need to do everything humanly possible to repeal Obamacare.”

Cruz said Republicans should send Obama a full repeal bill, but then also send small repeal bills to test Obama’s willingness on health care and draw a distinction between the two parties.

3) “We need to finally secure the border and stop the president’s unconstitutional amnesty.”

4) “We need to hold government accountable, and rein in judicial activism.” Cruz warned that federal judges continue to rule against state marriage laws, when those issues should be left to the states.

5) “It’s time to stop the culture of corruption.” Cruz said quick passage of the $1.1 trillion spending bill last year was an example of both parties failing to govern and failing to give Congress itself a chance to understand what was in the bill.

For me its Cruz, or Cruz.

Cruz/Walker, Cruz/Palin, Cruz/Lee, Cruz/pick-someone.

If Cruz isn’t on the ballot, they’ve made a calculation that they don’t need conservatives to win. And good luck with that. Because I’m writing his name in if it isn’t on the ballot.

Too bad you didn’t read the whole article .. instead of assuming the title really meant Cruz was for Amnesty.

Shame on you.

And .. without Cruz’s legal expertise, Loretta Lynch would have been allowed to lie and lie and lie about what she knew about the law.

1.)kill the cost of energy so that electrical production is 1/10 the cost of current cheapest coal electricity.
2.)kill the cost of desalinized water so that desalinized water is cheap enough for irrigating desert lands like california, arizona and the intermountain west.

Most of the cost of desalinized water is the electricity cost, so obviously achieving #1 achieves #2.

I like your thinking.

I gotta tell ya I’m not that impressed with Walker. All of a sudden he’s getting all this hype and the media is just loving him. If Walker thinks Paul Ryan is a budget wizard we are in big trouble.

He’s my choice. If the GOP chooses someone else, they’ll have to win without me.

That does seem to be the attitude of the Cruz supporters.

CRUZ WAS BORN TO AN AMERICAN CITIZEN MOTHER .. IT WOULDN’T HAVE MATTERED IF HE WAS BORN IN CHINA .. HE WOULD STILL BE AN AMERICAN CITIZEN.

FOR YEARS HE HELD DUAL-CITIZENSHIP WITH CANADA. HE HAS SINCE RENOUNCED THAT CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP.

STOP SPREADING RUMORS THAT HE’S A CANADIAN .. HE’S NOT.

The Cruz Team is off to a very inauspicious start here at FR.

First a vocal supporter uses trickery to falsely slam an opponent, then another mocks an opponent’s position, all the while freely admitting he knows nothing about the issue, but continues to mock the opponents supporters.

But the real coup de grace is the supporter who cheers because he believes an opponent of Cruz is Pro-Amnesty. Cheers for Gods sake. He never thinks for a moment that it reveals that his loyalties lie first with his candidate, not America, and that he cares not how America suffers when major candidates hold position which undermine her.

Unless Team Cruz pulls out this feckless team, Cruz is going to have a hard go of it here at FR,

Cruz is approaching my troika, Palin/Bolton/West, but he must make it clear he will end the “Failure Factory” that is the bureaucracy. Bureaucrats must understand that, while, they may have a job they can’t be fired from, they do not have a right to this job. As Camp Delta is emptied by the Obozo regime, there will be space there for non-compliant bureaucrats.

At the podium, after inauguration, the next President must sign an Executive Order rescinding all EOs since 20 Jan. 2009. He must remind people that think they have rights not granted by law, he has more lawyers than they do. Those lawyers who cannot comply can practice at Camp Delta.

Allen West may be the perfect Vice President to purge the bureaucracy.

Obummer is the perfect example of affirmative action failure, Allen West is the complete opposite where competence and hard work exemplify the man of Martin Luther King’s dream.

"If the GOP chooses someone else, they’ll have to win without me."

Boy, that's for sure. Hillary would be a lot better than anyone else the GOP might choose.

That cuts no ice with me.

The GOP has failed time and again.

Failed
Failed
Failed

Pick a damn Conservative or go down in flames. It's not MY fault. I will NOT support a Liberal. Not any more. The GOP has to earn my vote, and threats of "Hillary" mean squat.

Walker is an amnesty stooge and pro homo. He is a NO GO just as much as Jeb is.

3) “We need to finally secure the border and stop the president’s unconstitutional amnesty.”

AND deport the illegals already here, stop the anchor baby law, no welfare or other benefits for illegals, and punish the illegals' employers. Add those things and then we'll talk, Ted.

Walker doesn’t want to BREAK anything. We have tons of things that need to be disabled or repealed or disappeared.

Walker doesn’t want to fix all the stuff zero has broken to pieces. He doesn’t even have a coherent defense/FP strategy.

I like the guy, but extreme situations call for extreme remedies, and Walker’s just too much of a status-quo guy, not counting Union-busting.

Instead of spending trillions to enrich Obama cronies since 2008, we might have developed something like cold fusion.

Cruz was ~10pts ahead in name rec and net favorability, according to Nate Silver. Hence the coronation of Walker this week. We’ve sourced every assessment of Walker’s lefty tendencies and are told ‘oh, that was 2013’ or ‘oh, that’s a states’ rights issue’ by the Walker devotees.

I THOUGHT this place was Cruz Country.

Hoping Cruz gets in some more meaningful public appearances before Netenyahu addresses the Joint Congress.

Walker has been instrumental in defunding America’s biggest abortionist Planned Parenthood, signing ultra-sound legislation. Clinics closed in Wisconsin.

Chris Cristie even has been instrumental in defunding America’s biggest abortionist Planned Parenthood, signing ultra-sound legislation. Clinics closed in New Jersey.

Governor Perry in defunding America’s biggest abortionist Planned Parenthood, signing ultra-sound legislation. Clinics closed in Texas.

Senator Cruz, oh, never mind.
