In a move sure to excite conservatives and unnerve progressives, Westwood One announced Thursday morning a long-term extension through 2020 of its ratings juggernaut, The Mark Levin Show.

As Silvie will attest, I listen to Mark every day on WMAL DC while driving home from work, and have done so ever since he was first syndicated. So yeah, I know him very well, and the fact is that Mark has a soft spot for the Rube, and challenges him only with kid gloves.
I must confess, I could never make such a stupid assumption and statement based off what has been said in this thread. And I confess, I develop INSTANT CONTEMPT for people who "think" like this, because it's a really mystifying combination of ignorance, low IQ and paranoia - three things that just irritate the sh-t out of me.
You see, I never mentioned RUBIO per se - I'm talking about YOUR obsession with Levin and Rubio - and your ignorance of what Levin is all about.
I think your confusion has something to do with the notion of violating a principle in the macro and having some imperfections around the micro.
Well, Ed I've held you in contempt for a long time now too, so the feeling is mutual.
Good luck with the Rube and his amnesty and Patriot Act support.
And amnesty for illegal aliens is a pretty friggin' big micro imperfection.
Dude, you just can’t follow. This thread is NOT ABOUT RUBIO AND AMNESTY. Let me repeat , this thread is NOT ABOUT RUBIO and AMNESTY. It’s about Levin and his radio show and his impact on the national conversation.
You are just so obsessed (they’re doing wonderful things with meds for this now, you should check it out) that you lost track of the conversation. As such, you took my comment to someone else out of context, because your brain cannot process context obviously.!!!
IT is stupid to think that Levin’s total body of work is pro amnesty or RINOish in any way, shape or form. It is not.
I suspect most people in your low IQ range hold me in contempt. I don't find that troubling at all. In fact, it's very validating when idiots don't like me. Because only people in your low IQ range and kindergarten reading comprehension ability would think I am pro amnesty or pro Rubio. Only an idiot would think Levin's show is pro amnesty or that Levin is pro amnesty. Only an idiot would think I was talking about Rubio - I was not.
I love you too Ed.
Guessing that Premier Radio Networks, which syndicates Rush, Sean Hannity and dozens of other personalities, was kicking the tires and making him an offer. Cumulus didn’t want to lose him and locked up Levin with a five-year deal.
It’s interesting that Mark often mentions Sean and Rush on his show, but there is never a peep about Savage. I’m sure that drives him crazy, because he has always wanted to be a part of the conservative radio club, but the other major players won’t give him the time of day. That’s one reason he always tries to bait the other hosts with references to “the golfer,” “Harvey Wallbanger,” etc
I gave up on Savage during the Dubai Ports controversy when he invited Chuck Schumer on the air and practically gave him a radio Lewinsky.
Mark despises Savage...he calls him by his real name, “Weiner.”
“Problem is that Mark has a very select few RINOs that he wont challenge directly on the air, and the Rube is one of them”
Good point. I had thought Levin learned his lesson after he was burned by Orin Hatch last time around, but apparently not.
Rubio clearly is all in for amnesty but—having gotten his butt kicked by conservatives after throwing in with Schumer—is now trying to hide that fact while he sees if he can get any traction for a presidential/vice presidential run.
Don’t take the bait. Edmund Hillary and his BFF bert are GOPe trolls. As worthless as hummer gummer on FR.
Mark Levin BATTLES Sen. Ron Johnson over Obamacare defund strategy
I have no idea why he gives Rubio a pass though. If anything, Rubio's behavior was worse than Johnson's...he lied to his constituents and TEA party supporters about opposing amnesty to get elected, and then changed his tune once he got to DC and promptly jumped into bed with Schumer.
That is unforgivable.
Mark is as solid conservative as anyone in the national media. There is none stronger or more forceful in his presentation.
That being said, I want him to be engaged with the so called conservative pols that are off the reservation on a number of issues. I want him to put them on his show, get feed back and have them be challenged over and over to justify their failure to adhere to the simple truths.
If those pols have no contact with conservative media and public, they will never hesitate to stray into the stream of leftist thought.
He doesn’t have to berate them to make them uncomfortable. Many of them would like to be solid conservatives but get twisted by their peers the moment they are in the political give and take of the congressional work space.
Do we want them only on CNN and MSNBC? The public is still going to see them. Let’s sit them in a pot of conversational water on Mark’s stove and keep the burner on medium.
I agree and that’s all I want from Mark, to keep after them and hold their feet to the fire. That’s why I get concerned when I see him start cutting Rubio and others like him some slack.
I don’t listen to Mark often enough to hear the “Weiner” references. In my market, he airs on a low-power AM station that barely has a signal after sunset. If I’m in my car, I sometimes listen to him on WABC. Surprised that Cumulus hasn’t asked him to tone it down, since Savage is being promoted as their afternoon drive star. But if Premier was courting Mark—and they likely were, given his new five-year deal—then Cumulus was probably afraid to say anything, for fear of losing him.
You're cute when you try to make up "clever" names for folks.
Do it some more.
Because it's all you've got.
