MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - "American Sniper" is tops at the box office but don't expect to see former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura lining up at a theater for it.
Ventura, a former Navy SEAL, won $1.8 million in a defamation lawsuit last year against the estate of the late Chris Kyle, the SEAL protagonist of the movie, which has sparked debate over whether snipers should be considered heroes. Ventura said Wednesday he won't see the film partly because Kyle is no hero to him.

I’ll never forget him walking out of the Wellman memorial..lol.
I have heard Ventura on Coast to Coast a couple of times, and each time I think they are interviewing a guy with brain damage.
“Ventura said Wednesday he won’t see the film partly because Kyle is no hero to him.”
Yeh I’ll bet since Kyle cold cocked the loser for dissing SEAL’s at a SEAL bar where a post funeral wake was being held.
Jesse Ventura: If you hit me I won’t hit you back but I’ll wait til your dead and then sue your widow.
Your’e the man Jesse. :-)
“You couldnt pay for the publicity this film is getting.”
Imagine the publicity if Deflate-gate hadn’t hit the wires.
Ventura is full of $hit.
But why do so many people get worked up over any of these fools and their opinions about a movie? A movie that’s already made a ton of money without a ton of trouble.
It’s a good flick, and I enjoyed it. Take that for what it’s worth.
Thank you Mr. Ventura. We have to enjoy the irony.
I heard that Kyle taught Jesse that he does have time to bleed.
I heard him interviewed awhile back on Am coast to coast, WOW I was shocked how much he sounded like the really REALLY out there guests they try to get on the show...
And Ventura is no hero to anyone.
When the bozo wrestler was Governor my U.S. Army unit met for a Vietnam vet reunion at the Anoka, MN Airport and we invited him to attend. He turned down the invite. No loss.
Who cares what this clown says?
Hmm, I can’t find any audio of the guy, only transcripts. Most of the stuff he is talking about sounds the same as what you would hear out of Jesse’s mouth on any given day though.
You gotta admit though, going on with an alias and voice disguiser is a pretty good marketing gimmick. Without it, you’re just another nutjob in the chorus, but with that schtick, people may think “wow he is really afraid, he must be legit”.
Sounds like Kyle really did deck Jesse and his feelings are still hurt.
More like tripled down on stupid...
Then again, I really don’t care what he says about Chris Kyle. The troops who Kyle worked with know better than Ventura what kind of man Kyle was.
If the troops want to call him a hero or “legend”, then, IMO, that’s their prerogative and it carries all the weight in the “argument” about whether or not Kyle is or is not a hero.
I’ll say this, he is portrayed as steely, fierce, determined to win, calculating, and willing to do whatever it took to keep American troops safe.
Attributes of a hero in my book.
Hey Janos (JVs real name), jealous much??? LOL
Nobody cared what movies Jesse Ventura saw before. Why would they now?
“Ventura was not a Navy Seal.”

Ventura NEVER saw combat (other than the PRETEND space alien combat in the Predator movie). So he is so full of bull crap that his blue eyes are brown.
