Dear Skeptics, Here's How Apple Will Continue To Demolish Expectations

Apple delivered the greatest earnings report in history on Tuesday.

That's not hyperbole. Apple earned $18 billion in net income over the three-month period of October to December 2014. That's more than any other company has ever earned over a three-month span.

Apple earned those mind-melting profits thanks mostly to the iPhone, which is an incredible business.

Apple sold 74.5 million iPhones, up 46% from the year prior. The iPhone generated $51 billion in revenue, giving each iPhone an average selling price of $687.

That’s over a HUNDRED MILLION ... and growing ... :-) ...

That number is only for Macs. . . over ONE BILLION iOS devices were sold as of December 22, 2014. Apple has 600,000,000 credit cards registered at the iTunes and App Stores. These Anti-Apple fanatics cannot stand they are getting outnumbered by those who "Think Different" than the lemmings who're following each other over the Microsoft and Android cliff.

Oh my! That’s a huge number.

By the way, I just saw this today ...

Analysts say Apple has beaten Samsung to become world’s largest smartphone vendor
http://www.theverge.com/2015/1/29/7937177/apple-beats-samsung-smartphone-share

After recording the biggest quarterly profit by any company ever, Apple might have earned itself another accolade: world’s largest smartphone vendor. It’s clear that the iPhone maker had a bumper quarter, reporting record sales of 74.5 million smartphones. However, Samsung is only saying that it sold 95 million total handsets, of which, it says, somewhere between 71 million and 75 million (the “high 70 percent”) were smartphones.

So has Apple finally beaten Samsung? It’s impossible to say with absolute certainty. Samsung isn’t likely to give up any more information on the topic, and analysts and industry experts are hedging their bets accordingly. Some are marking it as a dead heat while others are claiming Apple as the winner. Counterpoint Research, which polls global distributors for its figures, says the iPhone maker is definitely ahead — pegging Samsung’s shipments at only 73.8 million. Ben Bajarin, an analyst for Creative Strategies also gives the win to Apple (see chart above), but Strategy Analytics claims both vendors shipped 74.5 million smartphones in the fourth quarter last year.

The links in the article show it being sourced to Apple. All you have to do is click on them.

Why are you so careful to avoid discussing the content of the article that's characterizing what's in those links?

The article is not sourced from Apple. There's a lot more to the article than figures, and very little of it that's not entirely subjective.

Nobody that's used to having to parse through the kind of polemic that's found in most of the articles that get posted here could possibly miss that.

Now you are posting propaganda. . . you are posting your negative opinion as fact. That is propaganda for your viewpoint. . . and you have been doing for post after post after post with the intent to make this thread poison to people who want to discuss it seriously.

“The article is not sourced from Apple.”

I was providing you with the sourcing, which goes directly back to Apple, through the links they provide ... :-) ...

Looks more like you're trying to obfuscate the actual source of the article.

You posted the article, and you put something other than Apple in the source link, then claimed it was sourced from Apple.

It goes back to my Post #257, of which you then said, in Post #262 ... “The article is not sourced from Apple.”

I showed it was sourced from Apple and this is the sourcing link they provide ...

How much better can you make an iPad or an iPhone than the current versions? I'm wondering.

I thought the same thing when I bought my first Texas Instrument hand calculator.

Then I said the same thing when I purchased my state of the art MotoRazr flip phone.

"Right now, on Amazon, the asking price for your unlocked Firephone is $449."

Wrong again. You still can't get it right. The price is $199.00. for an unlocked phone. There is no negotiation to get the phone at that price. That is what they are asking for it right now.

"Ask price, also called offer price, offer, asking price, or simply ask, is the price a seller states she or he will accept for a good."

And again you try to morph the issue to hide your utter wrongness.

You said it's very expensive to buy a smartphone. I proved you wrong. And no matter how you try you can't change that fact.

I know what today's smartphones are they are tomorrows discarded tech. There is absolutely no reason to pay premium for such being they are temporary gadgets that will be phased out in a few years just like the phones have over the last few years. These things are not something that will hold there value for years because by their very nature they are designed to become obsolete so the suckers will by the ubercool super duper new version.

Its why I will never pay big bucks for such. I have no problem for paying premium for something that will last. But temporary tech is just not worth it.

But if it's an iPhone and you aren't willing to believe it really is just costing you $99 you're a "hater".

You make absolutely NO SENSE!

When you ask how much better can they get ... there is really no end to it. There are temporary limits, for the time being, having to do with limits in imagination and the capabilities of technology at the present time ... BUT ... as time goes on, those limits keep being extended. I don’t think there are any limits in the long run!

When you follow the sourcing that the article writer gives for his information, it goes there - in other words it sources to Apple. As I said before, you just have to click the links.

I really don’t understand why this is so difficult for you. If I were there with you, I would click them through, right in front of you. But, I’m not there, so you have to click them through.

If that's all that matters, and the only thing you're willing to discuss why don't you just post the Apple press releases?

The “sourcing” was an issue you raised, so I pointed out the sourcing.

No, you tried to obfuscate the issue by trying to change it from the source of the article to information sourced within the article.

Apparently you think it just fun to waste people's time.
