Real great place to visit... Pre 9/11, if you, an infidel, maintained a low profile and stayed in the back of the crowd, you could go to the public square in Riyadh on Fridays to watch the amputations, floggings and executions. The Friday I went was just amputations for thievery. The Saudis were proud of it and practically showed it off. It’s not such a good idea to go to those anymore.

Funny you should mention that. I was looking at an old cartoon of an Arab about to cut off the head of an infidel with the sharpest scimitar I've ever seen. I thought: if only that was the case for the victim.

This number is from a medieval scholar I know who is rarely wrong - he has said it was Henry alone not the other Tudors. But you may be right, I’m no expert on Henry. I was shocked when I first read this statistic but it may very well be true.
