My Gawd!!!
Just listened to this man and it was moving, stirring and rousing.
His parents didn't know Christ?
They found him and gave their lives to Jesus.
Transformed his family.
His Constitutional principles and ability to firmly assert what is right, under God.
He had 3 principles as his message but, for the life of me I'm too pumped, to bouyed to recall them.
If this man wants the presidency, I am all in
Mind, body, soul and spirit.
I don't see how we can lose 2016 if this man wants to lead America, not from behind but, from the front line, as the standard bearer, as the man who will take the hill by leading all men and moving first.
May God bless him and us, with a proper support group who will take us forward by his inertia and ours.
I'll take a conservative Canadian over a Marxist Kenyan any day.
one American parent I guess, pa was Cuban
Don’t even go there dude, Political Science and Gender Studies are crap classes. English is not.
I guess I’m gullible. I always thought that conservatives were interested in the Constitution. Evidently not.
as noted in my taglline, I have long believed that Cruz is the nation’s best hope.
He is a highly skilled debater and collegiate champion from Princeton.
He is Hispanic despite the media’s effort to evade this fact.
His parental story is incredible.
His experience from Texas is vital and an experiential base from which to say there is an alternatnive to the anti-conservaitve mania that holds our political culture.
The political system must be broken. Electing Cruz would break the DC system much like Reagan’s election broke the system in 1980. We are living in the 1970s here in 2015. Cruz would cause elite heads to explode. That is already happening.
he has the intellectual heft to dismantle the ethically vacuous Democratic party but also to take on the intellectual punditry seated in Hollywood and the Media.
We live within a propaganda culture that has already selected Hillary as the next president. The media gears are turning toward that end and cultivating a field of conflict similar to 2012 to tear up the eventual Republican nominee before they face the uncontested Hillary.
In the Presidential debates of 2016, Hillary would be doomed against Cruz.
An outrageous slurring machine in the spring of 2016 would meet its decisive demise in the first week of October. 80 million people will watch the first presidential debate between Cruz and Clinton. It will likely set records similar to the Carter Reagan debates. Clinton will be annihilated in debate number one.
The hatred and infighting that ensues will make 2012 meltdown by Obama with Romney look mild.
The election of Cruz would genuinely cause a serious risk of migration out of the country from the anti-conservative and anti-American elite.
I believe there would begin a Global American renaissance. Essentially what would happen is that the world of Texas would become the American norm. Our allies— long browbeaten— would now find an ally in DC for the first time in almost a decade.
Those browbeaten allies in Israel, Canada, Australia South Korea, Ukraine, Eastern Europe and many more would join us in crushing ISIS and a broad array of global threats.
The collapse of corporate income tax rates would return 2 trillion dollars of American revenue to our shores— booming the economy and filling the treasury.
The end of Federal confiscation of land and property in the West would accelerate an American energy revolution that would make oil and gas so cheap that our already rebuilding manufacturing sector would boom as our energy costs would be so much lower than any other nation—especially China.
The gradual return of a border would begin to end wage suppression in the middle class. The end of insurance mandates would unleash entrepreneurial growth lifting GDP growth well above 5%.
The dollar would soar as the global currency. Within four years, we would be running surpluses.
no joking
no sarcasm here
Cruz forever!
Take us back to “That Shinning City on a Hill”
I’m an American who graduated as a chemical engineer more than 20 years ago. I did so because I wanted economic security. I resent being painted with a broad brush as not working or studying harder in college. It’s no different than saying American will not pick lettuce. They will not do so because the current market clearing price is too low relative to the “safety net” of benefits available to them as citizens, not because they are lazy.
I left the chemical industry to go into biotech because I got tired of all the boom/bust cycles that made it impossible to plan ones future (just ask my ex). There is a surplus of technical talent in America and the American Chamber of Crony Capitalism will see to it that this remains the case. They want to keep the cost of technical talent low to help their bottom line and will contribute towards any politician who pushes that agenda.
Really? He’s unheard of so far to me but I’ll take a look. Truthfully it all sounds a little evangelical.
Go away worthless RINO.
I think he’s great. If there’s a PING list, add me to it!
That's really all you had to say. Why ramble.
Really, nOOb?
What planet do you live on?
No ping list yet...
Ted is my #1 choice. Palin would be great as Ted’s VP.
Ted Cruz has had a very, very distinguished young career. As an old soldier I sense it is the result of a deep down feeling/appreciation for the US and It’s Constitution. I have for a long time held back from total support because I believe our Constitution does imply that the standard set for POTUSA is based on parentS who were citizens at time of birth. Cruze’s father was a Cuban citizen when Cruz was born in Canada. However. now I tend to believe that it is as much an obligation for our Supreme Court to weigh in factually and validly ( if such is possible with and by the Court) on Obama’s birth scenario before It tries to disenfranchise Cruz. For me it is much better that Cruz is open than as to/for Obama being so circumspect and his deep Indonesian past including conception. As a an overseas soldier in WWII and a brother who died on Okinawa in WWII neither of us would be eligible for POTUSA because our parents were not naturalized residents of the USA. No concerns about that as far I am concerned because the US has given so much opportunity to me.
I enjoyed, much more, reading what he has said rather than hearing and watching him say it. Comes off as rehearsed theatre and oratory..not ideals communicated from his soul.
I’m sure he means what he says. But the way he says it makes me cringe sometimes. Newt, eg, has what Ted ain’t got. Reagan had what he ain’t got. Maybe he’s trying too hard. Didn’t ring my bell like Palin or Thatcher or Winston or ......
I have it the other way around.
Pray America is waking
I watched both of their speeches earlier tonight. Cruz sounded inspirational. Palin was great, but I don’t think that she is running for President. I would not be unhappy if I was wrong. I have my doubts that Cruz would run for VP with anyone, but I am not a political guru.
Someone else might have more detail on this, but back in Civics 101 this is what I learned: You can be born a citizen of the U.S. one of two ways. You can be born as a son or daughter of a U.S. citizen, and then it doesn’t matter where you’re born, as your citizenship is conferred from your parent. (I’ve read some remarks on this, that the parent has to be of a certain age to confer that citizenship, but this would not apply to Cruz since his mom, the U.S. citizen in this case, was of age.) The other way to be born an American citizen is to be born on American soil. (That’s where the millions of “anchor babies” born to illegal immigrants come from.)
Cruz was born to an American mother, on Canadian soil, which gave him dual American & Canadian citizenship. He recently renounced the Canadian citizenship, making him solely a U.S. citizen.
Many people point out the clause about a President needing to be a “natural born” citizen of the U.S., but there’s much, MUCH discussion about that (feel free to google it!). My own opinion, unpopular as it will no doubt be with some, is that Obama’s election and re-election has let that horse out of the barn forever. If it was good enough for Emperor Obama, I say it’s good enough for any candidate we might put up.
