They are all over the place or so convoluted (Santorum) because they are trying to be all things to all people. They don’t want to commit to one aspect and then have to retract it when they face another group.
Jeb Bush in a related thread was on one of the Sunday morning talkies. He supposed relied on the same ole tired canard: Secure the border first. The problem is, they want to stick that feature in a comprehensive package so they can conveniently forget it later or, claim like former HSD Janet Napolitano — ‘it is more secure than it has ever been.’
I trust NOBODY’S words on border issues. Their votes and other actions are what matter to me.
Im not concerned about their position on immigration...
I want to know their position on illegal aliens..
Question: "But just to be clear: if border security is accomplished, you can envision some sort of path to citizenship for people who are here illegally?"
La Raza Rick Perry: "Sure."
Regarding Ben Carson, the article says:
“Carson spends a lot of time spewing popular Tea Party misconceptions about immigration that the border is very porous, that immigrants have easy access to health care, and that people come here for easy acquisition of public support through welfare programs.
OK - I live down here in Texas where we spend a gazillion dollars giving illegals free heath care, free public education, incarcerating them in our prisons when they break the law, and spending an additional 1.5 million a week funding our Department of Public Safety on just securing our own state border. Would somebody tell me just what Carson got wrong?
Wake me up when Soros has decided which GOPe candidate has the least chance against Hillary, the WWII era born hag of Park Ridge.
Let the endless rounds of liberal media sponsored republican turkey-shoot debates begin!
My advice to serious candidates avoid the debates take your message out on the road. Leave Candy Crowley and George Shatsonallofus at home.
