The Greeks just voted themselves more money. What could go wrong?

In a schaudenfreud way I hope they won and follow through with their leftist plans. The world needs an example of what misery the left can impose on it’s own people.

I guess Venezuela isn’t enough.

People want a better life.

No politician who takes that away is going to win an election.

Austerity could be only be imposed because it ran afoul of basic democratic processes.

Greek voters rejected it and the EU’s only recourse is to eject Greece.

But if it does, other European countries may well head for the exits.

The Greek left want to show how their stuff is done. I hope their results become iconic, powerful enough to teach even our sleepy moderates the consequences of full on leftism. Or Obama and friends will pick us to be the final example of lefty national suicide.

As an aside, anyone think Obama might detour to Athens to party with the new government if they achieve a parliamentary majority. He's already detouring to Saudi on his way back from India to bow to the demented king; Athens wouldn't be far out of his way home.

The Greeks just voted themselves more money.

They probably voted to stop repaying their debt and to increase government spending.

They couldn't vote for Germany to actually finance the increased spending.
