People want a better life.

No politician who takes that away is going to win an election.

Austerity could be only be imposed because it ran afoul of basic democratic processes.

Greek voters rejected it and the EU’s only recourse is to eject Greece.

But if it does, other European countries may well head for the exits.

People want a better life.

Yeah, and some will work for it, if they have to.

But unfortunately most will steal it from their neighbor, especially if the government helps them do so.

People want a better life.

And they deserve it if they can make it happen. All the Greeks have to do is, e.g., start to build a better car than VW or Toyota et al. and they'll be well off. It's really that simple!
