Treasury Secretary Jack Lew will represent the United States at the 70th anniversary ceremony for the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp on Tuesdayrather than President Barack Obama or Vice President Joe Bidenwhile other countries are slated to send their heads of state.
Tuesdays ceremony will likely be the last major anniversary where a significant number of survivors of the Nazi camp are present. About 300 are expected to attend, and most of them are in their 90s or older than 100. Nazi authorities killed 1.1 million people at the camp, mostly Jews, which was liberated by the Soviet army in January 1945

Indeed, why ruin it for everybody else.
Hey its only a few dead Jews. What’s to remember? Barry has to beat feet over to Saudi Arabia so he can bow and kiss the ring at court. Muslim is as Muslim does.
Obama yukking it up, taking selfies with blonde women ... just what a memorial of genocide needs, right?
You nailed it :)
Oh, c’mon you people. Cut our poor President a break! Don’t you know the golf courses aren’t open in Poland at this time of the year?
The ceremony at Auschwitz is to be on the 27th, that just happens to be the same day King Obama was originally scheduled to visit the Taj Mahal. He punted on that visit so he could pay fealty to the new king of Saudi Arabia.
It's pretty darn clear where Obama's priorities are, and they sure don't include attendance at any memorial to the one million Jews who were slaughtered at Auschwitz.
He wouldn't want to offend the new Saudi king.
WHAT!?!?!
Obama is not going to visit his uncle’s old stomping grounds. After all, his uncle liberated the camp.
Say it like it is....It’s aimd at Net.
That’s OK: he’d just be the turd in the punch bowl.
A malignant narcissist is incapable of feeling anything meaningful about the people in the room with him now, let alone people who died two generations ago. He’d be trying to be the center of attention.
But he’ll drop everything to personally congratulate the new Saudi king of Arabia.

I think he is actually placing the next president in a corner that will be extremely hard to get out of.
Maybe the Treasury Secretary can take along Carly Simon to sing You’re So Vain. I mean, they must think it’s all about them if they want zero to go, right? /s
What a sleazy scum we have inhabiting the WH.
To the person suggesting he will be at the White House, I susgest r4eading befroe commneting. He will still be in India on a long planned trip.
You know they are.
Send Valerie Jarret, she can take some measurements of the showers.
Muslims to a fault generally deny the horrors of the Third Reich, usually between saying the Third Reich didn’t go far enough.
So it is no surprise to me that our Muslim in office would skip it.
He is better off golfing than going there. Not for himself but the people who have been affect by the atrocity. The survivors shouldn’t have to be subjected to a mind numbing speech that Obama doesn’t believe anyways.
I must say, I wasn’t that upset he didn’t go to France. He would have been an embarrassment. It would have been hard to top John Kerry though.
