Sold out Tea Party events in South Carolina this weekend and Iowa next weekend demonstrate that the conservative grassroots are prepared to put in the time and money needed to back a limited government candidate who can win the Republican Presidential nomination in 2016.
More than 1,200 grassroots activists attended this weekends three day South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention in Myrtle Beach, where they heard from four potential Presidential candidates: Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Dr. Ben Carson, former Senator Rick Santorum, and Donald Trump.
Remarks by Cruz and Dr. Carson, in particular, caught the attention of the mainstream media.

Cruz told Boyle he is looking very seriously at running for President in 2016. Support of his potential candidacy among the grassroots and potential donors has been breathtaking, Cruz added.
In addition to Cruz, Carson, Santorum, and Trump, several potential presidential candidates who skipped the South Carolina event, including Chris Christie, Mike Huckabee, Rick Perry, and Scott Walker, will speak at the Iowa event.
Notable in their absence from both the South Carolina and Iowa events are establishment front-runners Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney.
Former Governor Sarah Palin will add her star power to the Iowa event.

TED CRUZ 2016
Nothing upsets the GOP more than the mere mention, much less a resurgence, of the Tea Party. Its their worst nightmare BECAUSE the Tea Party exposes their hypocrisy, weakness and appeasement.
GOPe bump for later...
Stop letting them live in your head.
The same might be said of Muslims.
I happen to differ with him on that aspect. They ARE evil people.
I like Dr. Ben, he'd make a great Surgeon General, but he's not Presidential material.
Santorum is a lightweight. He couldn’t even win reelection to the US Senate. If he can’t even win his home state, what makes him think he can win the the presidency?
Ben Carson... good man. However, I am sure there are lots of more useful things he can do as one of the best neurosurgeons this country has ever produced, than running for the presidency, especially since he’s never run for public office before, and Ted Cruz is almost certainly running.
I think people are impassioned to turn our country around. You ask why people are here, the answer is our country is in crisis.
It is now or never that we turn things around I dont think weve hit the point of no return yet, but we are close.
free market principles and constitutional liberty that are the foundation of this nation.
All of this is true.
The greatest single obstacle to rescuing and saving our nation for future generations will be the Democrat Party Propaganda Machine--i.e. the newsmedia--whose propaganda is leading--actually, misleading--the vast majority of gullable Americans right off the cliff into destruction.
Whether or not the rest of us can save America--or save enough of it and its promise--remains to be seen.
The energy, enthusiasm, dedication, wisdom, and benevolence are there. The question is whether we can coalesce our power and singlemindedness of purpose into sufficient meaningful action to save America.
Yes. And this speaks volumes:
"Notable in their absence from both the South Carolina and Iowa events are establishment front-runners Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney"
Ted Cruz just got elected to the Senate in 2012. He needs to stay in the Senate and finish out his term.
Fixed it.
Next week is the Iowa event.

Cruz.
Accept no substitutes.
I am eagerly awaiting hearing Scott Walker in Iowa this weekend. I know he has been in the battle and emerged with some actual accomplishments.
Including Sarah's at the Event in South Carolina.

Well considering the biggest organizers in the ‘tea party movement’ are GOP themselves, I have no idea why.
Notable in their absence from both the South Carolina and Iowa events are establishment front-runners Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney.
