Op-ed: The distorted mutation that is Islamic fundamentalism has to be acknowledged; many Muslims recognize there is a problem, which is not just a handful of Jihadists involved in terrorism.
Any debate on Islam in Muslim countries and among Muslim communities in the West is like stepping into a minefield. When it comes to the media outlets and academe, for the most part, the subject of Islam sparks a convoluted and apologetic discourse; on the social networks, on the other hand, the discourse it prompts is a racist one.
The thing is there's a problem. It's hissing and bubbling. Many Muslims realize there's a problem. The Egyptian president spoke recently of "a need to effect a substantial change in Islam." And in 2004, Abdulrahman al-Rashed, the former general manager of the al-Arabiya television news channel, said: "It is a certain fact that not all Muslims are terrorists, but it is equally certain, and exceptionally painful, that almost all terrorists are Muslims."
The problem is not a handful of Jihadists involved in terrorism. The problem is that the Muslim world in recent years has produced most of the high-casualty conflicts across the globe. The Muslim world struggles to embrace universal values, such as the status of women. And the problem extends to the free world. Entire neighborhoods in Europe are becoming "no-go zones" for veteran residents, and the police too in some cases.
There is no instant solution. But self-deception, of the Muslims and the West, only exacerbates the problem. We need to listen to brave Muslims who voice harsh criticism. It won't solve the problem. But without a sober view, without acknowledging that there is a problem, there will be no solution.

And when and where exactly does that happen?
Yes. It directly teaches violence against those who do not accept Islam. The Bible teaches us to love our enemies and not to attack them outside of government sanction. Jesus reattached the ear of the person coming to arrest him. What an evil religion to teach that followers must kill for criticism. We are certainly entering in to evil times.

The only fix for Islam is conversion. Conversion to Christianity, conversion to Judaism, conversion to Buddhism, conversion to Hinduism... even conversion to atheism.
Conversion from Islam to anything else is a net positive.

Its “Prophet” pirated the Torah, written thousands of years previously, changed facts, added many other “facts,” made pedophelia and murder, and his other personal faults into a “Religion” that justified all of his evil acts. And, here we are.
Where are the “miracles” done for man attributed to him? Where is love for fellow man in the Koran?
Must be hidden within the convert or die, kill the unbeliever verses.
Allah is just a more modern version of an unloving, uncaring Baal, Dagon, and other false “Gods.”

Islam is violent and repressive, and its sacred texts are the heart of darkness at the center of the Islamic State’s inspiration and motivation, despite Barack Obama’s assertions in September 10th’s address to the nation that the Islamic State “is not Islamic” and that “no religion condones the killing of innocents.”
Violence is an integral part of Islamic doctrine, following the example set by its Prophet Mohammed, and in the name of Islam and Allah, Muslims have been murdering innocents, since 656 AD.
Six hundred years after Mohammed, one of Islam’s most respected scholars, Ibn Khuldan wrote ‘Muqaddimah’ (Introduction to History), which explained: “In the Muslim community, the holy war is religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and [the obligation to] convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or force.”
Like most good Muslims, Khaldun’s inspiration came from ‘The Verse of the Sword’, Sura 9:5, “revealed” towards the end of Mohammed’s life, as well as similar themes previous to Sura 9:
Sura 9:5__ “...kill the Mushrikun (unbelievers) wherever you find them ... But if they repent and perform As-Salat/ Iqamat-as-Salat [the Islamic ritual prayers], then leave their way free...” Also Sura 9:33__ “It is He [Allah] Who has sent His Messenger [Mohammed] with guidance and the religion of truth [Islam], to make it superior over all religions...”
The Hindu Kush, seventy-five thousand square miles between Afghanistan and Pakistan, was populated by Hindus until approximately 1000 AD and the Muslim invasions. An estimated 60 million Hindus were murdered by Muslims over a thousand year reign, and Hindu Kush is the Muslim name for the region. It means “Hindu Killer.”

Can we get it, or parts of it, onto our parish websites or into our parish weekly bulletins? I'm going to try.
How do we know he was a caravan-raider, a slave-trader, a pedophile and a raver who went into, shall we say, abnormal mental states n which he was told by "voices" to massacre people? These are not accusations by Muhammad's enemies nor recent exposes by dirt-diggers. These are things we learn from the Sacred Hadiths. These are things the Muslims tell us openly and with pride about their "Prophet" who is held to be worthy of emulation as the world's best man.
FReepers should realize that the Koran isn't even the worst of it. This is not the corruption of Islam. This is the ideal.
