That's the way the French should be playing this game. This is the carrot, and they should apply some stick to other various miscreants.

Speed and decisiveness. What’s it been, a week or so? And not just a green card, etc. Can anyone imagine OUR government doing something so common sense, so just, so fast?

By contrast, we outed the Paki doctor who helped us confirm Bin Ladin’s location, and that Afghan guy who saved Luttrell back in 2007 is still praying we will just let him come here before Afghanistan falls.
Things like this are why we lose respect in the world with normal people.

Exactly right-- I have only seen a few people point out that the policeman executed at point blank range was a Muslim, and that at least one (if not more) of the French soldiers shot outside their base in the south of France by an islamo-kook a few years ago were also of Algerian descent.
These men gave their lives for la Republique and they ought to be recognized for that.

I think dropping the part about turning off the freezer is missing an important step. That was one sharp cookie, and France should be proud to have him as a citizen.

Yeah, right. Give him a nice, public ceremony, photo op and everything. Then the local DAESH chapter can find him and kill him. If I were he, I’d leave the country, citizenship or none.

I’m happy that this guy did what he did, but I don’t know why something like this is played up as him being a “hero.” He did the decent thing. He should be admired for that but it seems like we are celebrating what should be commonplace in society.
