Energy Policy: In spite of dramatically lower methane emissions from fracking, according to the EPA's own data, the agency wants to impose draconian regulations on the oil and gas industry similar to those on coal.
The new rules that the White House announced on Wednesday aim to cut oil emissions of methane, a target of environmental groups, by 45% below 2012 levels, despite the fact that the emissions already show a sharp decline even as shale oil and gas production has skyrocketed.
This war-on-shale action mirrors the administration's war on coal, with EPA rules impossible to meet economically and sometimes requiring technology that doesn't even exist.
Never mind that there's no evidence of the climate change that environmentalists fear. And the EPA doesn't seem to care that the U.S. leads in reducing the fake nightmare of greenhouse gases.
It is an alleged threat of methane to the Earth's climate that has green groups pushing the EPA to limit hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, a technology that has spawned a job-creating oil and natural-gas boom.
It has also been used as a weapon against the Keystone XL pipeline, which would ship oil from Canada's oil sands and North Dakota's Bakken shale formation to our Gulf Coast refineries.

FRACKING PING
Woah!...........Didn’t see that one coming!.....................
Long past time to shut down the EPA.
Payoff time for Obozo’s muzzie pals in the middle east
And it is launched from the White House in coordination with Saudi Arabia's price war aimed at killing the U.S. fracking boom.
Effin libs just can’t stand to see us driving around in our cars, anywhere and anytime we want. It just offends them.
Someone tell me again why we even have a congress
Is this old news, or could it stopping fracking in its tracks?
It’s time for a Convention of States to end this run away Federal Government!
No to both.
Before the end of his term the Sultan is determined to end oil production in the USA and he will get loud protests from the Republicans who will then allow anything he does. By the end of the term fuel prices will have ended the middle class as a phenomenon in America and the next president, if a Republican, will vow to twiddle and tweak the system for the advantage of The Middle Class but will only drive us all further into poverty and dependence on the government for survival. There is no recourse short of the unspeakable.
Mobility, social and geographical is a symbol of lack of control and is a terrible irritant to the Liberals/Communists/Socialists/NAZIs/Statists- they are all the same thing.
I am for that Convention even at the price of a takeover because if things can be made to happen quickly then perhaps armed resistance will happen effectively. If we let this drag on and on without resolution then we will be slowly overwhelmed to the point that armed or any resistance will only bring massacre.
If we pro-rate out what America will look like in 10 or so years at the rate of change that has happened over the last 7, it will be a very sterile, Orwellian state. Scary.
Don’t worry. As soon as Boehner is done opening the floodgates of immigration, he’ll get right on this.
OK
Give it to me
Just another way for our prez to bow down to Saudi leaders.
The EPA and Saudi Arabia working together to kill Fracking ?
