Protesters shut down I-93 Northbound at East Milton Square and I-93 Southbound in the Medford-Somerville area during the Thursday morning commute causing major traffic backups, according to Massachusetts State police.
State Police reported that 17 people from the Medford protest were under arrest and being processed.
The protest was organized by the Boston contingent of the group Black Lives Matter, according to an Associated Press report.
In a statement posted Thursday morning on the groups Facebook page, the protest was held to disrupt business as usual and protest police and state violence against Black people.
The protesters have been removed from the Medford scene, according to State police.
In Milton, I-93 Northbound at East Milton Square Road was again closed while police removed protesters from the lanes.
Here are photos from the scene in Milton, where State police reported that protesters attached themselves to 1,200-pound barrels . . .

I’m sure these fat girls wouldn’t float if their loser a$$es were tossed into Boston Harbor.
The barrels...maybe.
Coneheads,,,”from a small town in Massachusetts” evidently
D-E-V-O !
some one at the article comments also suggested Brinny as salt brings down the temp and don’t freeze.I would pay to watch that
I see the professional protestors at work again. I can imagine the planning session at Black Lives Matter headquarters:
“How can we get people to listen to our side? I got it! Let’s disrupt their morning commute!! Yeah, that’ll make them want to listen, it’ll really gin up the sympathy!”
Guaranteed way to NOT get people to come over to your way of thinking is to disrupt their commute to work. Guaranteed!
The planners here are probably getting a few angry calls from Soros now.
Fortunately, those two women have a large fat layer to keep them warm while doing their winter protests. In summer, they stink like pigs.
I’m waiting for the “tragic” fatal traffic accident that elevates these slugs to “martyrs”.
Correct and a splendid idea. Brinny water doesn’t freeze until the temperature gets into the teens. PennDOT will even spray road surfaces with it before a coming snowstorm if the temperature isn’t expected to get that low.
I wonder if Fauxcahontas will claim credit for these morons like her Occupy pets.....
I thought the cops should move them into the pull-off lane, spray them with time and date like a disabled car, and let them arrange for their own tow truck.
I was stuck in traffic for an extra two hours in my 17 year old car in which I need to run the heat at full tilt in order for it not to stall due to a leaking cooling system, and with the windows open so that I don’t asphyxiate myself, due to my compromised exhaust system by these special privileged babies. Too bad they were removed by the time I got to Milton. All I could think of was the Alice Cooper song “Under My Wheels”.
Soapy water is a wetting agent that goes through the clothes better. It is often used to kill off whole flocks of roosting starlings on a cold night.
Because he has tons of money ?
I hope in your ride through *ell this AM you got some guilty pleasure from thinking about all of those disillusioned know-it-alls. <^..^>
....AND why did they lock themselves to a WHITE BARREL ?
Remember back when DEVO were just eclectic musicians and not actual PROPHETS ?
Retarded rich honky kiddies. Throw them all in jail. They arent doing anything useful with their lives anyway. Let them pick up trash along I-93.

Best idea I’ve heard on this subject.
They firmly believe in the advantages "white privilege" -- on an interstate highway, blocking traffic, early in the morning. (Or at least someone was smart enough to try to avoid them coming down with "acute pancake syndrome".)
What a moron.
