BOSTON — State police say a group of protesters has blocked a busy Boston area highway at the height of the morning commute.
Police say in response they have shut down Interstate 93 north at East Milton Square south of the city, and I-93 south at Mystic Avenue north of the city.
A state police spokeswoman says some protesters have chained themselves to highway barriers.
The spokeswoman did not know what the people were protesting, but broadcast outlets say one person is holding a sign that reads "united against racism."

I was talking to my Mom (88 years old, lives in Quincy) and BOTH her visiting nurse and physical therapist were unable to come to her house today because of this very thing. She was very upset, as this direct patient care is part of her health and well being. She was just discharged home after a three month hospital/nursing home stay on Jan. 8th.
So...two people at least were denied access to their livelihoods, and one elderly, frail senior citizen was denied healthcare.
Because of these clowns.
And...I know the area. If you can’t get through East Milton Square you are in trouble.
An ambulance had to divert from the Level 1 trauma center they wanted to go to. These proteagers need to do some serious time in prison.
Simple solution - change the laws.
Blocking an interstate will carry a hundred dollar fine for the first infraction - and a thousand dollar fine each time after that.
Then tell the 'turnips' (can't get blood out of turnip) the money will be deducted from their 'disability' checks - or other government checks... or IRS 'refund'...

I live in Quincy, used to live in the neighborhood up by Carroll Movers overlooking the highway right outside the the square. I used some back roads to see if I could get up to see what was going on but there were state troopers on the overpass too, so I turned around.
So sorry about your Mom not getting the care she needed today. The daughter of the man whose ambulance was diverted to a lower level hospital was “livid” we hear. More info tomorrow. Hopefully not protests!

The “delouse” idea is financially viable, especially as DDT is now legal again.
However, the idea of a prefrontal lobotomy is not viable in this economy - have you priced the cost of microsurgery?
