ATT stadium, Arlington Texas, Indoors, Ohio State at Oregon (-6 O/U 73).
The marxists at ESPN wanted the final four of the CFP to be all state-run government schools. Although both TCU and Baylor have become increasingly secular over the years, they are still at least nominally private. That wouldn't fit the leftist agenda of ESPN -- especially a school with Christian in its name. I never once heard ESPN call it Texas Christian University, it was always TCU to those ultra-PC morons.
And Art Briles was right. The Southern part of America was underrepresented on the CFP committee.
But UO got 4 turnovers against OSU and still lost.
You score until the game is no longer in doubt. That’s what Oregon did to FSU. I don’t think Ohio fans want to admit Meyers ran up the score here because then they’d have to agree that he’s a d-bag.
I really don’t care about either team, but I don’t feel bad that Oregon had the score run up on them. They regularly do it to other teams including beating South Dakota 62 to 13.
You only need an 8 man tourney. Take the 6 major conferences and two wildcards. Then you will have a true Champion.
Congrats to OSU
I don’t understand that. Oregon is known for fast scoring.
I’m punching it in.
I don’t think you have ever played the game.
As much as I hated Ohio State growing up. I admit that Woody Hayes, despite how he went out, was a great man, and a worthy rival.
I especially liked that he was a solid conservative who had a passion for History and taught history classes at OSU. You don’t see that much anymore from coaches these days.
My idea is create Four Super Conferences, basically absorb the Big 12, so you have the: SEC, Big Ten, ACC and Pac 12, each with 20+ teams divided into 3 or 4 divisions.
From there it’s real easy to devise a playoff structure that would allow for Conference Semi-Finals, and a Conference Championship Game, with the winners of each Conference in the National Final Four. So there’s your 16-team playoff right there.
Exactly.
You would think at 45 they would be comfortable, Oh hell no!
Now we have a whiner about 22 points. Typical LIB shit.
You can do the same thing with making 8 major conferences and absorb all the teams.
I hate losing!!
Go Ducks
Oregon wasn’t going to get the ball back if Ohio had taken a knee, and only got the ball back after Ohio scored. You’re the one that doesn’t understand the game.
GO POKES!
Who the hell do you thing should have been playing for the title? You have some good teams to propose?
I disagree 100%. That is 4 on top of the schedule.
You cannot subject these kids to that without compensation.
I say no. These kids play the schedule. If they don’t get paid then they don’t play a possibility of another 4 games.
You need to really think through the paying of college football players. It gets ugly very fast.
Amen, Hinckley Buzzard...Ohio State is the National Champion! And all the others out there who don’t like the fact...well just eat it! And come back next year with a different ‘solution’.
Oregon has a fine football team. Be proud of them.
The Ducks were born to lose this one! So bray on a different channel!
Well thank you Oregon for taking the knee during the season.
That’s just it, it’s not more games.
A team is in a division with another 6 or 7 teams, so they would play the 6 games in their division, plus one or two games outside of their division to preserve some traditional rivalries.
So that’s 8 conference games just as now, plus two more games for the semis and conference championship, so that’s now 10 games, then plus the National semis and championship. So there it’s 12 games.
What it does do is eliminate the cream puff games, and sorry MAC and other lesser conferences, you get to go to the FCS, although some teams in those conferences could also be taken into some of the four mega-conferences to get it to about 90 teams in the FBS.
Could have been worse, we could have lost to the Seminoles. I will take this year every year. No we aren’t Bama or OSU, but we did win the Pac and the Rose.
GO OSU!!
