BERLIN (Reuters) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Monday Islam "belongs to Germany", in a clear repudiation of anti-immigration protesters gathering in Dresden and other cities.
A day after walking arm-in-arm with French President Francois Hollande at the front of a massive march in Paris to honor the victims of killings by Islamic militants, Merkel received the Turkish prime minister and urged dialogue among religions.
The conservative chancellor pointed to comments made by former German president Christian Wulff, who said in 2010 that Islam was part of Germany, triggering a fierce debate.
"Former president Wulff said Islam belongs to Germany. That is true. I also hold this opinion," Merkel said at a news conference with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who also took part with other world leaders in the Paris march on Sunday.
She was speaking hours before marches by a movement dubbed PEGIDA, or Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West, were due to begin in several German cities.
Such demonstrations, launched in Dresden, have been dwarfed by counter-protests. Merkel has said PEGIDA's rallies are organized by people with "hatred in their hearts".

And also I don’t see any of these so-called “Far Right” movements advocating invading other countries, like Mussolini and HItler did.
This is the type of thing that is only said by an rich, insulated, self-deluded liberal who doesn’t have to live with the consequences of Islamization. Unreal, that saying “Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it” is so true, but the thing is I doubt if people like Merkel forgot but merely WANT to repeat it. Same with every other lib who immediately rushes to defend Islam every time a terror attack happens. WHY are they defending it? Are they that naive? 2000 people were killed by Islamos in Nigeria.

That is just ONE attack. Did they honestly believe “Islam is the same as every religion”? Are they insane? EVERYDAY people are killed in the name of Islam. EVERYDAY there are multiple attacks. Just in the past 4 days alone......

It’s interesting the way european and some Americans politicians approach theological concepts but when it comes to Islam. But they are not the only ones who refuse to approach the issue. That even includes leading Christian clergy including Pope Francis.
Followers of Mohammed not only claim, but truly believe that God has authorized them to kill those who refuse to submit to their version of God’s will. That is a basic tenet of that religion. A claim which goes unchallanged. While it’s understandable for atheists which most socialists are, not approach that claim on a theological basis. It’s bewildering why any Christian clergy refuse to admit it even exists and is a basic part of Islam creed and worse yet are unable to condem it.
The Koran and its enforcement of sharia law is a pseudo religious concoction using monotheistic selected texts taken and misconstrued from the new and old testaments. That institutionalizes disgusting arab tribal views, observances,and customs. Claiming adhearants are authorized by our Creator to demand submission to it or suffer an ignominious death administered by its followers.
