Are we really all Charlie? No, no and shamefully no

PROTESTERS around the West, horrified by the massacre in Paris, have held up pens and chanted “Je suis Charlie” — I am Charlie.

They lie. The Islamist terrorists are winning, and the coordinated attacks on the Charlie Hebdo magazine and kosher shop will be just one more success. One more step to our gutless surrender.

Al-Qaeda in Yemen didn’t attack Charlie Hebdo because we are all Charlie Hebdo.

The opposite. It sent in the brothers Cherif and Said Kouachi because Charlie Hebdo was almost alone.

Unlike most politicians, journalists, lawyers and other members of our ruling classes, this fearless magazine dared to mock Islam in the way the Left routinely mocks Christianity. Unlike much of our ruling class, it refused to sell out our freedom to speak.

Its greatest sin — to the Islamists — was to republish the infamous cartoons of Denmark’s Jyllands-Posten which mocked Mohammed, and then to publish even more of its own, including one showing the Muslim prophet naked.

Are we really all Charlie? No, no and shamefully no.

No Australian newspaper dared published those pictures, too, bar one which did so in error.

The Obama administration three years ago even attacked Charlie Hebdo for publishing the naked Mohammed cartoon, saying it was “deeply offensive”.

President Barack Obama even told the United Nations “the future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam” and damned a YouTube clip “Innocence of Muslims” which did just that. The filmmaker was thrown in jail.

We are all Charlie?

In Australia, Charlie Hebdo would almost certainly be sued into silence, to the cheers of some of the very protesters now claiming to be its great defenders.

It take great courage to speak your mind and speak the truth when it goes against the PC crowd or against the grain. Even here on FR you can get bashed because people don’t like what you have to say - even if it is true.

Charlie was a complex outfit, or maybe we should say simple. It lampooned just about every kind of sacred concept, rudely and crudely, no matter whom.

For that reason alone, most of the “we are Charlie” crowd isn’t. Nor should they particularly want to be.

Ever hear of The Door magazine? While I do not agree with much of the content of Charlie (what I have seen), I do applaud them sticking to their guns even when faced with death threats (something I know a little bit about).

What Charlie did seems almost infinitely more pardonable than what the jihadist hit squad did. At least they weren’t claiming that God made them do it.

I don’t agree with killing people for offensive material...nor would I support such material being published...but, it is and those that publish it can answer to a higher power some day.

It is that thought process of allowing one’s faith to decide the outcome and not taking physical action to conclude or even suppose to be the Earthly representation of an entity that is all powerful and make or break someone in an instant.

This is what makes Islam so dangerous...for a moslem will say without stress or temperament, “Allah wills it so” in one breath, but instantly will stand up and shout, “Allah Akbar” when they want something they cannot have or gain through a peaceful process.

It is quicker to allow a % of their population to do all the heavy lifting (terrorism) while the higher percentage (moderates) sit around and reap all the rewards when the rest of the world succumbs to the realization that they could be next...such inaction or submission only emboldens and strengthens the [above perception] of using said violence over obtaining said element peacefully. It is beyond the moslem culture to do so...a process carved out thousands of years ago within the tribal areas of what is presently the Middle East and has been allowed to survive because it is cloaked and protected by religion...one of which is no more than a perverted and plagiarized version of Judaism and Christianity...

I’ve seen all kinds of offensive material and art work targeting Christians...but I would never allow myself to think I represent God or his Son and massacre people over it...but then again, I wasn’t brought up by my parents or neighborhood clerics to believe I’m superior and arrogant as all moslems I’ve met think they are...

Islam is a mental disorder. The future must belong to those who denigrate its Prophet!

In Australia, Charlie Hebdo would almost certainly be sued into silence, to the cheers of some of the very protesters now claiming to be its great defenders.

Fortunately, in the US, we have this law known as the First Amendment. Surprisingly, there are those who would make exceptions. Screw them! They must be resisted to the death!

Islam has an agenda...and with a weakened US military presence and a president that more good for the enemy than the nation he is suppose to serve...why wouldn’t there be more attacks...I’ve been saying this since 2009...this administration does [not] care about counter-terrorism operations or national intelligence that protects US interests...

The quote is "Je suis Charlie", not "Je veux être Charlie".

The point being to rally behind Islam's victims, in opposition to Islam.

You might not approve of everything Islam's victims got killed for publishing, but you nevertheless must defend their right to publish it, or else you do not belong in the western world.

This guy is a voice in the wilderness who will be heard by the people but not their leaders. And they will continue to follow the tinkling bell of the Judas goat of the bought off media.

"must defend their right to publish it".

Contraire, Pierre. I have no idea what they publish, and I don't care.

In fact, as I've said elsewhere, caring about what they publish is irrelevant. Their right to life is not predicated on their "right to publish" anything. In fact, it's the reverse.

Caring what they publish is like saying that a bunch of people who were just massacred at McDonald's have a right to eat a cheeseburger and french fries. Do you think the jihadi's care about anyone's "right to publish" anything? They're not killing over rights to anything. They're killing because they're killers. Crazed killers.

Yapping about the "right to publish" on the graves of people who were just shot up by psychotic animals is laughable. Do you think they give a rat's backside about what they published now?

That's absurd.

If they're just killers, then why did they go after Charlie Hebdo instead of a more prominent frog, such as François Hollande?

Obviously, Charlie Hebdo crossed a line they wish to draw.

We must make it clear they have no power to enforce such a line. We must cram Hebdoism down their throats! Even if it may ultimately come to killing a quarter of the world's population via nuclear genocide! We must have our freedom. And they must live with it or die!

> As for freedom, here’s an interesting thing. The French Leftist newspaper Liberation reported on September 12, 1996, that three stalwarts of Charlie Hebdo (including Stephane ‘Charb’ Charbonnier) had campaigned in their magazine to collect more than 170,000 signatures for a petition calling for a ban on the French National Front party. They did this in the name of the ‘Rights of Man’. You, like me, may dislike the National Front greatly. But lovers of liberty simply do not seek to ban parties they do not like.

I just cant bring myself to feel sorry for the people who are now being attacked by muslims. For the past 10 years they have been bashing and attacking americans who fought a war against these people to try and prevent the radical islamists from coming to the shores of western civilization. We endured the vitriol and the protest marches, we endured the political manuverings from the left and the alinsky ridicule tactics. We are now subjected by these people to a communist overlord in the whitehouse.

Now they are attacked by muslims and they want us to feel sorry for them? I’m sorry but they need to find someone else to fight on their side. If that’s their idea of civilization then civilization be damned.
