Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley said Thursday that hes still seriously considering a run for president but admitted that he was rattled when voters rejected his hand-picked Democratic successor in favor of Republican Larry Hogan.
I can tell you my feelings were hurt, Mr. O'Malley said in a speech at the University of Chicago, CNN reported. We had done a lot of really good things in Maryland and in the end, you did not hear much about it during the campaign,
Still, he acknowledged, I was on the ballot.
Mr. Hogan won a stunning upset victory over Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, who served alongside Mr. O'Malley for eight years. The Republicans campaign focused almost exclusively on Mr. O'Malleys record of massive tax increases and heavy government spending.
Mr. O'Malley, a Democrat, has been weighing a presidential run since early 2014 and regularly visiting early primary states. He said hes currently focused on moving his family out of the governors mansion but plans to make an announcement about his political future in the spring.
Right now, my primary responsibility is to move my family back to Baltimore, which I will do in another week, he said. So Im going to be taking some time over the next couple of months to get my family situated.

Well well well, his feelings were hurt because his chosen person wasn’t chosen by the people. Boo hoo
Oh the poor baby... his feelings were hurt.
What a sniveling, arrogant, whiner - and he wants to run for president?
Can you imagine him and Boner in a debate with both of them crying.
Thank you for removing yourself as a VP candidate.
Too bad Marty. Our wallets were hurt by you. Good riddance.
Maryland "Freak State" PING!
The US would be far better off if a few more politicians had their tender hearts bruised.
Might I remind him of his pet operative MD4Bush and the sleazy things he did in relation to that?
Like making people pay a tax on the area where their house was blocking the rain from hitting the ground?
A lot of good things for Maryland? Like raise taxes and fees 83 times like spend every penny in the reserve fund in the first six months of his term blaming his predecessor Erlich? Like leave us with a huge deficit?
Oh yes Martin O’Moron you did a lot!
,,,,,,, and our wallets were plundered by you and your regime .
Tax and spend liberal who whines about his feelings being hurt - hmmm sounds like a perfect Democrat Party candidate for 2016.
Maybe his feelings will be hurt more when the jail door slams shut behind him after he’s convicted in the Baltimore prisons corruption.
Kiss my gluteus maximus, Mr. O’Malley.
Your little dictatorship is over!
I loathe this jackanapes. When his mug appears on TV, I fast forward it it’s on the DVR. If it’s live TV, I ask the husband to mute the sound as I look away until the DH biges me the all clear. Seriously
