An accountant at a New York ad firm leaped to his death because he was hallucinating that the mannequins at his Manhattan office were chasing him, it was claimed today. David Caquais, 43, opened at window at Catch NY on the fourth floor of a building in Manhattan's Garment District and jumped out about 9pm on January 2. The New York Post reports that Mr Caquais screamed 'They're after me! They're after me!' as he ran around his office and attempted to kick out windows.

Maybe Romeo and Juliet will be one of those couples who will be married for sixty, seventy years ...

Could be ... but it would probably still be a boring play, unless they solve murders or something ;-).

I’m a hopeless incurable romantic. But then, I’ve never been married. Maybe that’s why I am still a romantic.

I knew her in both personas (Kangaroojacqui and Friend Down Under) and also spoke with her several times. She has been gone two years.

It was pretty sad. She battled with depression and drug addiction, won for a while, found the love of her life, and after about a year, he OD’d on something. Fiona only lasted a year after that. It was just too much for her to deal with.

I helped her pick out her wedding dress, and even today, I miss her. She is still on my ping list.

There were so many times when I wished I had been closer geographically to her.

We hit a record yesterday with 78 degrees. It’s supposed to be in the 70’s for the next week, and that’s not good. It’s a month early for that kind of weather.

I’m glad you’re having warm weather! I love to just soak up the heat. If the good weather stays long enough, I will finish up on the patio and get my outdoor furniture washed up and ready for warm weather.

I’m sure she would! She still does her body-slam against my back during the night, but she also pets my arm when she wants me to pet her.

But the silly goose still runs and hides when I go into the bedroom. I don’t know what’s up with that. She doesn’t come out until I either leave the room or get into bed. (Things that make you go Hmmmm)

Good tagline. Reminds me of my expression about “learning experiences that don’t result in lost limbs or a criminal record.”

Sparkle wants you horizontal so that you can’t do anything to her faster than she can get away. It could be the result of specific experiences, or just an expression of general nervousness. She could get over it ... remember it hasn’t been that long!

I keep thinking Sparkle’s behavior is because of past experiences. I’m almost positive she was physically abused, and only time is going take care of that. I was going to let her out of the bedroom this week, but I think it may be just a little too soon.

She purrs when I’m in the room, and I can hear her from under the bed. But she still won’t come out. She talks to me from under there, when I bring in her food, but she won’t come out to see what’s good until I’m gone. Poor fluffy thing.

People are so stupid. And Sparkle is such a sweetie. She’s VERY affectionate, and after the first time she drew blood, she has touched me with retracted claws. She wants to please me so much.

Maybe if you opened the bedroom door during the night, or while you’re resting during the day, she could explore the other room a bit without the chance of being startled.
