I keep thinking Sparkle’s behavior is because of past experiences. I’m almost positive she was physically abused, and only time is going take care of that. I was going to let her out of the bedroom this week, but I think it may be just a little too soon.

She purrs when I’m in the room, and I can hear her from under the bed. But she still won’t come out. She talks to me from under there, when I bring in her food, but she won’t come out to see what’s good until I’m gone. Poor fluffy thing.

People are so stupid. And Sparkle is such a sweetie. She’s VERY affectionate, and after the first time she drew blood, she has touched me with retracted claws. She wants to please me so much.

Maybe if you opened the bedroom door during the night, or while you’re resting during the day, she could explore the other room a bit without the chance of being startled.
