Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney , the Republican presidential nominee in 2012, told a meeting of donors Friday that he is considering another White House bid in 2016, people present said.

The possibility of a third Romney bid could upend the emerging GOP field, coming as top Republican donors are starting to rally behind former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

People in my position have to be satisfied with small victories, but perhaps that RINO senator(they are never truly principled) will be instrumental in getting a Supreme Court nominee approved.

You're still over-thinking this, and trying to look at things in some sort of pragmatic way. Don't you see that we're so far past that, that it's not even in the rear view mirror anymore?

It no longer works anything like what the good people of this country believe. It's a farce, a dance, a show, a charade. There's only one party with two wings. They play Congress on TV and make you think they're battling it out for the heart and soul of the country, when in reality, they conspire behind closed doors to sell us to the highest bidder.

If you vote RINO, you're simply enabling and aiding the Republican party to slide further into decay and betrayal against us. Every clear thinking American needs to vote their conscience and their American principles, if we're ever to see enough true conservatives elected to make a difference.

I'm gonna keep repeating this until I'm blue in the face:

You Get What You Vote For. Voting For RINOs Only Begets More RINOs To Vote For.

Conversely, voting for conservatives ONLY, sends a message to the Republican party that running RINOs is a recipe for failure and lost elections. Only then, will the national party begin supporting candidates more to our liking.

In the meantime, steel your mind to the possibility that none of this may matter anyway. We're running out of time for a political solution to save us. At the rate we're going, it'll be another decade before we have a sufficient number of good conservatives in place to dislodge the liberals who are running the party.

I swore after voting for McCain that I'd never vote for another liberal, primary or general election. I've kept my word. As long as the GOP keeps pushing liberals down our throat, to hell with them.

That's exactly the sort of resolve that every clear headed American needs to adopt, if we're to dislodge the quisling traitors from the Republican party.

Voting RINO only begets more RINOs to vote FOR.

I think Windflier is right: people in-general are pissed at the business as usual, anti-American, and [honestly] the propagated injustice and tyranny from DC — what she [correctly, IMO] identifies as the Dems getting their asses handed to them the Repubs are taking to mean I'm not a Democrat is enough to be elected/win.

I've heard stories that the tsunami of calls to DC WRT the speakership [overwhelmingly anti-Boehner, IIUC] was astounding to the staffers — and I think that this is only gong to grow; also, it provides a prime opportunity to reach out to liberals and non-conservatives and point out the Constitution and how it [properly followed] prevents injustice. (A lot of liberals are far more conservative than you think and all that you need to get them on our side is to frame Constitutionalism in terms of Justice/Injustice.)

Actually, I have come to despise the terms conservative and liberal as descriptors in politics — they are meaningless as descriptors; conservative because it could mean returning to founding values OR preserving the status quo, liberal because, as used, it is essentially contrary to its dictionary definition.

Maybe it's because I live in Texas and meet folks of like mind all the time.
Perhaps it's the result of seeing so many center-right Americans reject the uber lib, Romney, even in the face of four more years of Obama.
Maybe it's the results of the electoral thumpin' we just laid on the Dems from coast to coast.
Could be all the comments I read at places other than FR, which is unfortunately infested with people who've succumbed to despair.
Perhaps I feel optimistic because gun sales continue to set new records, year after year after year.
Maybe it's just because I feel the grit and determination of my forebears every time I squeeze off a shot at the range.
Might even be all those articles I read that clearly point to the fact that something big is blowing in the wind in this country.

Dunno. I just know that I'm surrounded by Americans who feel just like I do, and there's millions and millions of them. I don't fear, brother. We may still have some rough times ahead, but we're gonna be just fine in the end.

It is growing. By ever lengthening strides. Compare the results of the 2010, 2012, and 2014 elections, and it's apparent that the people are increasingly moving right in their political ideology and their voting.

If 2014 was a right facing tsunami, 2016 is going to be a mile wide asteroid strike to the heart of DC.

We've got every reason to be optimistic, because the American people have told us what they really think.
