Gunshots rang out in Paris this morning on a second day of deadly violence that has stunned the French capital. A policewoman died after being shot in the back less than 24 hours after a deadly terrorist attack on a satirical magazine.
French police and security officials, who are hunting two brothers they suspect of murdering 12 people in an assault on the Charlie Hebdo magazine, are searching for links between the two attacks. Officials described Thursdays shooting as another terrorist attack....
Heavily armored commando units were deployed at the southern edge of Paris as a second major manhunt got underway on what was supposed to be an official day of mourning. Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, who rushed out of an emergency cabinet meeting about the previous attack, arrived in the suburb of Malakoff to say that the gunman had escaped. Three armed killers are now at large.
Huge peaceful rallies held in memory of the 10 journalists and two police officers slain Wednesday gave way to sporadic outbursts of violence overnight. Three blank grenades were thrown at a mosque in Le Mans; shots were fired at a Muslim prayer hall in Port-la-Nouvelle; and an explosive device was detonated at a kebab shop near a mosque in Villefranche-sur-Saone. No one was injured in any of the apparent reprisal attacks.
Shortly after dawn, there was another outbreak of deadly force. One witness said the gunfire began after a traffic collision, which drew the attention of a nearby police officer. A street sweeper was caught in the crossfire as a gunman fired at the officer, fatally wounding her in the back. The second victims injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Officials have not released a description of the latest shooter

YAHOO! was running a story all last night that the perps of the Charlie Hebdo killing were caught / surrendered.
I guess that’s not true?
Turns out this cop who was killed yesterday, was himself a Muslim.
The French are quite noted for their very violent protests. Maybe they should try that instead of silent vigils.
Not true. The two suspects are still at large.
I believe this is the beginning of the Muslim takeover of western Europe. The Germans are bit ahead of the curve, but with Islam spreading like a virus across the continent, I’m afraid Europe may be under Shar’ia very soon. They don’t have the intestinal fortitude their forbears did.
I liked what someone said on FR yesterday: France’s last great general is in Napoleon’s tomb.
France has sown the wind and is now reaping the whirlwind. There are other European nations also about to reap the whirlwind.
Now I watched that vid and it looked to me like the bullet missed the cops head.
I have seen a lot of comments from conspiracy whackos that suggest the cop shootings were a hoax.
Or at least the western half of Europe, which of the two halves of Europe is the weaker half.
Now you can understand why Americans have been loading up on guns and ammo the last couple of years now.
Street savages killing cops in the USA. Sand savages killing cops in France. Both kinds of savages are loved and worshiped by the left. Says a lot about the left.
Well, I guess France and Canada are now discovering the problem with that “feed the alligator” approach.
The intestinal fortitude of their forbears died in the mud of Verdun, the Somme and Passchendaele.
Europe never recovered from The Great War.
Want to change Europe? The US should end NATO.
It will force them to reconsider their entire security and immigration structure.
NATO is a relic. We are chained by treaty to an unstable collection of 28 countries, big an small, that are sinking themselves. They will pull the USA down with them.
Meanwhile, Screamin’ Howard Dean insists that the murderers aren’t Muslims.
ROFLMTO...OH yeah Howard Dean, the screaming meme!
Bad enough that we now have a mole within NATO in the form of Turkey.
To a fundamental Muslim, he would be considered an Infidel collaborator and therefore fair game. -Tom
