John Boehner is getting revenge.

He secured his third term as speaker Tuesday afternoon, losing 25 votes on the House floor to three relatively unknown members of the House Republican Conference. But he’s already punishing those who betrayed him.

First up: Florida Reps. Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent. The pair will be booted from their spots on the House Rules Committee, according to sources familiar with the decision. Webster ran against Boehner (R-Ohio) for speaker Tuesday, and Nugent supported his fellow Floridian.

The Rules Committee is a panel appointed by the speaker, and it controls the flow of legislation to the House floor. It’s a prestigious appointment for members who are loyal to leadership.

Sounds like there needs to be a separate and vocal "Conservative Republican Caucus", that holds it's own press conferences, and that doesn't hesitate from going up against the Speaker...

They have nothing to lose at this point...

Conservatives are not the gop base. Those who were left were just purged in case you hadn’t noticed.

“You mean like they stopped Boner from getting reelected as Speaker?”

BOOM!

S C U M........ that’s what the GOPe is. PURE and SIMPLE S C U M.

Let's not insult pure and simple scum by associating it with Boehner. Even the utter scum of the earth deserves more respect and honor than Boehner and Ohio's 8th congressional district voters who elected him.

It does point out one thing...it wasnt all a set. Some of those guys really did do their vote out of conviction.

Guess I’ll have to reserve a bit of my cynicism.

He needs to re-read his last children’s book. Our Founders had no surety they were going to achieve anything but their own hanging. Yet their principles told them that the risk is worth it.

The comparison to the risk of the founding fathers is ridiculous. If the risk were the same how many votes do you really think there would have been? How about 0. There are some in the US who would take that risk but I don't think you could count many politicians among them.

A candidate with an R by their name will no longer get my vote.

Without Tea Party involvement early and strong against a RINO in Tulsa, we would not have Jim Bridenstein in the House, who basically started the run against the Bonehead.

Start now. Take over your local Republican party. It is not easy, but very possible.

But YOU have to get involved.

I suppose it's too much to expect Bonehead to play tough guy like that with Obama when it's so much easier for him to continue to be rolled by Hussein.
I think I despise Boner about as much as I despise Obama.

And another thing, Boner is not a King and the House is not a Monarchy.

Good luck trying to tell THEM that. Their fruits are those befitting the belief that they are the Nobles ruling we lowly Serfs.

With nuthin left to lose, its time for them to continue the fight and oppose Boehner’s every effort to capitulate to Obama.

Elections no longer matter. Time for people to see that reality.

Normalcy Bias makes that an impossibility for most.

"Reality" is whatever the media and Comedy Central tell them it is.

“I don’t have a list, but it is on this site somewhere, there have been numerous articles recently detailing such, since the election. I will try to find it.”

There were 40-something in the House under Bachmann, on the wiki page.

25 votes opposing Boehner, out of 246 GOP House members is just 10 percent.

“There are some 67 Tea Party Conservatives in the House, that gives them VETO POWER OVER ALL LEGISLATION if they stick together. They have the power to STOP anything they want if they use it.”

Well, given that only 25 voted against the boehner, perhaps it would be more accurate to say that there are 67 republicans in the House who claim to be conservative, but are mostly cowards and quislings.

“The Ruling Class Oligarchy have now made it IMPOSSIBLE to ‘take over the party from within.”

That’s not true.

But it takes a lot of money.

Do we really think that the grassroots Conservative minority can overcome the thousandfold increase in Corporate donations to the GOP-e's PACs that McConnell just appropriated in the CRomnibus?

Impossibility is the correct term, and the correct understanding.

Taking over the Parliament should not be our intent.

REMOVING ourselves from their grip SHOULD BE.

We are a short time away from the next election cycle. I think I will just tune out because the outcome is already determined.

Might as well spare myself and try to enjoy the last remnants of “normalcy”. Whatever that is anymore. The scale keeps moving as to what accepted “normalcy” really is. LOL

Great,so the house is LOST, I thought there were more though, I knew about the 25 true statesmen that voted against bonehead. Let’s hope President Elect Cruz can stop them in the Senate.

TPINO. There are only 25 Patriots in our base.

True on the former, but I tend to get a BIT ‘emotional’, and testy, when the oligarchs trample and subvert my Rights, Freedom and Liberty

The comparison to the risk of the founding fathers is ridiculous.

Is it?

History teaches that fundamentally transformed societies into Marxism and Oligarchy will soon do unspeakable things to those they deem a threat to their state.

Especially when such people refuse to be ruled by such tyranny and speak out against it.

Or HAVE spoken against it in their past.
