Matthew Boyle @mboyle1 · 12m12 minutes ago I hear many more members are working on statements to oppose Boehner as we speak....
Amen.
Well, I didn’t even email Oregon Democrat Reps. You could be right, they could get sneaky and vote for Boehner. But, wouldn’t Pelosi skewer them?
man I’d love to see Boehner cry for a week when he gets dumped.
Thanks for that. I haven’t seen them retweet David Brat’s tweet so tweeted a reminder to them. The word needs to get out. And I’ve been tweeting my own rep.
Great!
Here is my personal “whip count”, based on listening to Fox news and reading the net:
1. Ted Yoho
2. Louie Gohmert
3. Jim Bridenstine
4. Steve King
5. Dave Brat
6. Walter Jones
7. Paul Gosar
8. Thomas Massie
9. Marlin Stutzman
10. Tim Huelskamp
11. Justin Amash
12. Glenn Grothman (Freshman-WI)
13. Gary Palmer (Freshman-AL)
There are probably 3-4 others who announced that I don’t have. I think they get to at least 30 by tomorrow morning. Tomorrow could be the most interesting day in Congress in our lifetimes (I turn 60 tomorrow).
#14 is Jody Hice of Georgia.
Daniel Horowitz reporting that Mark Walker, Freshman, NC-6, campaigned on dumping Boehner, but has not yet announced who he will vote for.
Great!
I have to think that my newly elected Rep - Glen Grothman here in WI is going to be a part of this group.
None of the five LA representatives are on the list; they must be in Boehner-Scalise’s pocket. And two of them are new.
Who are the many more members? Where?
Twitter as a source is stupid
I just called and asked Boehner to vote for Louie Gohmert.
Twitter as a source is stupid
The other source cited @ForAmerica is www.foramerica.org
and they are retweeting Reps. saying they are not voting for Boehner.
Saying Twitter as a source is stupid is ridiculous. Several people I follow on Twitter end up with breaking stories BEFORE the national media & end up being correct also. There are many legitimate organizations on Twitter that may just know something before other news sources do.
Called my Congressman (Frelinghuysen, NJ 11) to tell him to vote against Boehner.
Frelinghuysen is a go-along-to-get-along wuss; will probably vote FOR Boehner.
...and that’ll be the bitter end of any support he has ever received from me.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Twitter as a source is stupid
Much appreciated. It flowed right out of me. I cut it off for the sake of brevity, but I wanted to say a lot more.
These guys need to be bombarded through every communication channel.
