A confrontation broke out between security personnel from the American consulate and settlers from the Adei Ad outpost in the West Bank on Friday, after settlers hurled stones at two vehicles from the consulate. According to both Palestinian and settler sources, the American security guards drew their weapons at the settlers.
A preliminary police investigation of the clashes between American security personnel and Israeli settlers discovered the consulate employees had arrived at the Adei Ad outpost in Samaria without coordination with the appropriate defense officials.
An official from the village of Turmus Ayya, near the scene of the incident, said they invited the US delegation to examine thousands of olive tree seedlings which were uprooted on Thursday night – some belonging to Palestinians from the village who hold American citizenship. According to police, the settlers pelted the convoy with rocks, but neither side used their firearms.

There should be zero tolerance for ANYONE attaching US government or citizens ANYWHERE. It is really sad statement when even amongst our so-called allies, we are attacked with impunity.
I don’t agree with you Israel is a sovereign democracy not a vessel state of America. If our troops pulled guns and were
not coordinating with IDF and were trying to take sides in a local affair they were BUDINSKY’S and should have minded their P”s & Q’s. This has Sheik Obama’s fingerprints all over it.

Our troops didn’t do much protecting Benghazi but they feel free to act up in another country, our long time ally, and in a situation where they didn’t even ask permission where they have no authority. I wonder who in the State Dept. authorized this incursion?

Huh? The underlying issue is the 5000 recently planted olive trees that were uprooted by, it is thought, the settlers at the Adei Ad outpost. The US diplomats went to inspect the trees because supposedly some of these Palestinians were US citizens. That is when the settlers from Adei Ad attacked the diplomats.
Some places just do not have the proper respect for foreign fascists. I do wonder why when American citizens go on a rampage in foreign countries why the government doesn’t reign them in, but then they didn’t attempt to reign in the Ferguson riots either.
Perhaps respect is earned by rightiousness, not by fear?
No Israeli’s build on land owned by Arabs, Israel requires deeds to get building permits. If land is captured in war and occupied, unoccupied land that has no deeds belongs to the government, not to a racial groop.
Otherwise all national forests belong to the Indian tribes in America.
I don’t care where they were, these were US citizens and representatives of the US government. There should be ZERO TOLERANCE for ANYONE attacking them.
Used to be that Americans could travel anywhere and be safe because we were Americans. That day is long gone and a sad statement of our decline in the world.
That’s not important, it’s only important to remember that Zero will learn about it by reading it in the paper.

This has Obama and his State/Snake Department written all over it... a provocation designed to create more hostility where none is needed........or perhaps just an advance salient testing whether Israel will “dare” act to defend her citizens, or just what? The American Consulate Jerusalem is the de facto Palestinian Embassy for foreign policy. While the American Embassy Tel Aviv is the primary mission in Israel, serving Israeli interests, every single SecState and Presidential Visit is to J-rue. I do not recall if there are any Jews working in the consulate... Therefore, it would be correct to throw stones at a vehicle full of Pali’s so to speak from a strictly Jewish perspective.
