To: everyone
I had a UFO experience and the story is as follows. In December of 1996 my husband & I were living in Naperville, in the Columbia Estates area which is located off of Ogden Ave and Columbia St One evening I decided to retire for the evening as it was about 3AM. My husband remained downstairs to listen to music..he had headphones on, and read the Sunday's newspapers. As I walked into the bedroom, the room was pitch dark, and you could only see a faint light from the Moon in the sky filtering through the window shades of both windows, that were located on the outside wall of our two story home. As I got into bed and was about to lay down, I saw a small red circle, with a pulsating center, appear over the right corner of the woodwork that surrounded the window on the right. This was an outside wall that faced our back yard. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and i just kept staring at this pulsating red circle. Suddenly, it was gone from that position and the next thing I noticed was that it was located below the woodwork of the window on the left side. The first thought that came to my mind is that someone was probing my bedroom with a laser beam from above the house. I got up from the bed, went to the window and peered outside, while lifting a corner of the shade. I first looked to the right and saw nothing. And then I looked to the left and saw the following. First of all, the sky was dark except for a full moon and wispy long clouds that stretched from left to right in the sky. I could see street light shining a few blocks down from home, on a very popular and busy street by the name of Ogden Avenue. What I saw in the sky was a saucer shaped craft traveling upward. It was moving very slowly and looping around in a circular pattern as it was attempting to travel further upward into the sky. It did pass over Ogden Ave. and I got a good look at it from the street light on Ogden Avenue. Now I was getting scared as I realized what I was seeing. As it traveled upward, the moonlight became brighter, and I saw that it was a light gray/silver craft shaped liked a saucer and it continued to slowing travel upward. At this point I ran downstairs and shouted for my husband to look through the french doors of our patio and up into the sky on the left, but it was too late and the craft was gone. I told my husband of the laser beam probe through the bedroom wall and what the UFO looked like. He had an experience himself, along with his sister and brother-in-law as they were waiting for a green light. All of a sudden they saw a saucer shaped UFO fly across the sky right in front of them, stop and then zoom straight up into the sky. I called the Dupage County Airport which was located near our home, and they said they had no reports of a UFO in my area at the time I had observed it. But, that's what airports always say when you call in a UFO inquiry. I did have another experience when we moved afterward to Aurora, IL. One evening as I was watching TV, there was a window situated next to where the TV cabinet stood and I could look out the window as I watched TV. There were street lights outside, sufficient to light up the block and aid in my viewing of the night sky. As I watched TV, out of the corner of my right eye I saw a white circular light fly across the sky and stop. It stood in the same position for about 15 minutes. I got on the phone to the Adler Planetarium located on South Lakeshore Dr in Chicago. A very helpful astronomer took my call and told him what I was seeing in the sky and what I thought it was. He said that this was highly unusual, and if the UFO continued to hold the same position in the sky, I should call him back. I continued to watch the UFO in the sky, and then in the blink of an eye, it was gone. I called the astronomer back and told him what happened, and he agreed it was an alien spacecraft that I had seen. So, that's what happened to me..does anyone else have a UFO story to tell?

Pinging the unidentified aerial phenomena list (ufo) ..
May 8, 1950-This is one of the most famous UFO pictures ever taken.
Photographed by Paul Trent, and first witnessed by his wife.
They were published in a local newspaper in McMinnville, Oregon.
Shortly thereafter, the Trent photos were published in Life magazine edition of June 26, 1950.
The rest is history.
(These photos have been deemed authentic for over 50 years. The analysis of the McMinnville photos by Dr.Bruce Maccabee PhD, can be found here = http://brumac.8k.com/trent1.html )

10 years ago. It was somewhere between 8:30pm-9pm. I was sitting in my bedroom watching a DVD of the movie Sling Blade. My bedroom has two windows. One facing south. The other facing east. I was sitting beside the window facing south. Both of my windows are wide open because I had no air conditioning at the time.
If you look outside my south window, you will see the roof of the house next door, beyond that are the treetops, and naturally the sky.
It was a cloudy evening which blocked out the stars and the moon (assuming there was a moon out that night). During the movie I just happened to glance out the window when all of the sudden from behind the treetops a diamond shaped craft came flying in a north-northeast direction...towards me and my house. This craft was lit up with an orange glow around the edges and a bright white in the middle.
It moved at an incredible speed without making a sound. Not one sound was made by it. It took no more than a couple of seconds to come out from beyond the treetops, across the sky underneath the clouds, to over the roof of my house and out of my sight.
I’ve seen airplanes AND helicopters fly at various altitudes over my neighborhood and none of them moved anywhere near as fast as the UFO did, much less without making a sound (with the exception of a few airplanes that flew at a high enough altitude to be out of earshot as a result). Nor in the entire time I’ve lived here, do I ever recollect ANY aircraft coming from that direction, from over those treetops down south. There are no airports, no landing strips, no chopper pads south of me. Just the usual houses, malls, and the atlantic ocean.
