Jesse Jackson rallies for justice for Dontre Hamilton in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAU-Wheeler News) -- The Reverend Jesse Jackson says he will continue drawing attention to the case of a Milwaukee man who was killed by a police officer last April.
Jackson was speaking before a crowd of about 200 people during a rally at his Rainbow PUSH Coalition headquarters in Chicago Saturday. Relatives and supporters of Dontre Hamilton were in attendance.

Chicago Ridge Mall closes early after disturbance

A fight that broke out in the food court and a report that someone fired a gun prompted the early closure of Chicago Ridge Mall on Saturday night.
Authorities from several nearby towns responded to the incident at the mall, but no one was hurt, there were no arrests, no shots fired and police did not find evidence of a gun, according to Chicago Ridge Police Sgt. Lisa Piatanesi.

Five Arrested After Brawl At Navy Pier

(CBS) — A huge fight between dozens of teens has led to the arrests of five people Friday night at Navy Pier.
Chicago Police were forced to temporarily close the pier right in the middle of Winter Wonderfest. They investigated reports of a disturbance caused by groups of teenagers.
One worker at Navy Pier told the Sun-Times he saw at least 100 teens involved in eight different fights.

A south suburban man was charged Saturday with posting Facebook threats to kill police officers, which set off alarms in the law enforcement community following the cold-blooded murders of two New York City cops, a police source told the Chicago Sun-Times Saturday.
Aries Woodfin, 33, was arrested late Friday and police searched a home where he lived in Ford Heights. Officers found a .45-caliber pistol in the home and a makeshift gun range in the basement with dozens of spent bullet casings of various calibers strewn on the floor, the source said.
Woodfin, who is black, allegedly posted recent messages on Facebook threatening to kill police officers and “innocent white children,” the source said. He allegedly posted photos of white children on his Facebook account along with the threats.

The man, Hamilton was mentally unstable and violent. He didn’t reach for the baton, HE HAD THE OFFICER’s BATON and was beating the daylights out of the cop and would not STOP BEATING THE DAYLIGHTS of the cop. This respected policeman did NOT LIE.
