Jeb Bush, Eyeing Presidency, Quits Firm That's Profited From Obamacare
By JOSEPH TANFANI As Jeb Bush weighs running for president, he has begun to unwind some of his financial affairs Jeb Bush quits Tenet Healthcare Corp., which profited from Obamacare, to focus on his political future When Jeb Bush completed two terms as governor of Florida in 2007, he reported his net worth was $1.3 million, about $700,000 less than when he took office.
Today, nearly eight years later, he is a wealthy man. He has plunged into business and entrepreneurial ventures involving consulting, the paid lecture circuit and energy development. He has developed real estate, advised international investment banks and joined high-paying corporate boards.
But as he considers a run for president in 2016, Bush has begun to unwind some of his financial affairs, apparently to avoid the kind of criticism that hobbled fellow Republican Mitt Romneys unsuccessful bid for the White House in 2012.

Aides say he also has stopped giving highly-paid speeches to focus on traveling America, meeting with potential donors and testing what a friend calls a visionary brand of campaigning.
But Bushs business record, enmeshed in international finance and some troubled former ventures in South Florida, could end up complicating his return to politics and his hopes to follow his father, George H.W. Bush, and his older brother, George W. Bush, into the Oval Office.

“Profit from Obamacare? Me?? Boy, that’s like ... so ‘2014’. That’s old news.” — Jeb Bush in the 2016 Presidential debates.
Who the [bleep] wants this phony?
Or, as the NSC spokesman on Benghazi said: Dude, this is like two years ago
“Public Service” opens the doors to wealth in today’s society. After greasing the skids, Jebbie had to “get paid.” Crony capitalism works well for the elites in DC and on Wall Street.
They would be shocked to learn that America does not exist at their pleasure.
Not sure what troubling ventures in South Florida the writer is refering to...but interesting. Anti Bush sentiment is rabid in Florida now.
Eff em!
I wouldn’t vote for him under ANY circumstances!
Very true about the "political class".
Also, some of the richest people I know are Liberals who are deeply involved in "non-profits". The corporations that market products and services and try to be profitable? Times can be tough for those folks right now.
But the people who are "non-profit"? Man, the money just keeps rolling in!!
There are four eligible voters in the NHN household. All four are pledged to Ted Cruz. “Bush” is a four letter word, and no vote will be entered on his behalf. The Tea Party has done a great job of weakening Democrats, time to put the lasers on Rinos.
This moron couldn’t stop Terri Schiavo from being starved to death but he wants to be President?
Just another Crony Crapitalist Elitist.
Trying to pretend otherwise for votes, so he can get elected and get even more dirty money.
Im as anti Bush as any but your statement is pure BS!
Pretty cool, now he can octuple his old salary without doing a thing.
He did nothing to prevent her murder.
He is a disgraceful weakling.
Do you think Obama would have stood by and let one of his peeps be starved to death just because some “judge” said so?
Isn’t that special.
I certainly love their ‘so called’ Moral Standards.
Make your killing and get out.
Had a BIL that was too young to have been a ‘real’ VN protestor and/or Woodstock Flunky but he was ‘anti cigarette’ before it was a ‘popular’ movement.
He would visit MY house and complain about MY smoking - His parents smoked - I ‘tolerated’ him because of his Sister but had enough when I found out he had gotten a job (miracle in itself) for R J Reynolds and part of his duties was distributing the free mini packs (4 or 6) of Camels and other RJR products.
Typical Lib...he sorta stuck to his guns....I NEVER received a ‘Camel’ Sampler, though I was smoking about 3 packs of ‘Regular Humps’ a day and rose to 4 prior quitting in 1990 or so.
Of course, what can one expect from a bunch of MA, ‘informed’ people.
Jeb Bush murdered Terri Schiavo, out of sheer cowardice and political calculation.
He can sell, divest and "unwind" all he wants, but he can't ERASE. This cynical, evil profiteering will come up to haunt him all through a primary.
"Unwinding" sounds rather snaky and slippery, doesn't it!
