I LOL’d when I read about some movie which made one of the Norse gods a black man. Loki, IIRC. But as a poster upthread said, wouldn’t the pc cohorts scream if Mandela or some mythological African figure was made white!

It's supposedly about the voice... but I believe there is bias in castings to be as PC as possible. I was at a production of Die Fliegender Höllander at the Bayreuth Festspielhaus in Germany and the crowd actually booed the performance.
