Most of the ‘southern’ states are getting together to try to force the RNC to let them have their primaries on March 1.

My state primary is currently so late in the spring that the nominees in 2008 and 2012 were determined weeks earlier.

In previous election years, states that did not follow the RNC dictum were punished with lesser funding and cuts in delegate counts. I suspect the RNC will try the same tactics if that southern block does try to form.

That doesn't work out- Texas primary was/is Mar. 4- and that's way too late. Texas really has no say in the primary cycle.

The convention delegate system has already been rigged for 2016, during the big rule changes rammed through at the 2012 Tampa Bay convention, which were designed to undercut Conservatives and protect the GOP-E.
