You’re awfully new here to be talking like that!
Have cops ever brought out the night sticks and beaten anyone at a Tea Party Protest?
I rebelled against those color choices back then, but was overcome by precedent.
Well, he’s stepped in it now. The minute he asked for a moratorium on protests, he set himself up. Failure to act, is another slap in the face to the NYPD.
“Warn them to stop, then arrest those who dont.”
On what charges do you want to arrest these people?
They have a right to common sense. They don't seem to use it.
Besides, their point is to FORCE the police to use violence against the protesters.
That’s very true! I was at Restoring Honor. Very different.
What do you do when their freedom of expression infringes on the rights and freedoms of others? Such as the right to free travel and to quiet enjoyment of one’s living life and one’s property?
Their freedom ends there.
SCOTUS has held that there is a proper time, place, and manner of free speech. And, that line is not hard to see.
Excuse me?
What was said that would be against the rules?
Well, Olivia, let’s start with a permit.
You have the right to Freedom of Speech. You don’t have the Right to force anyone to listen.
NYPD is not going to be making any arrests unless absolutely necessary.
This is the fruit of De Blasio’s anti-cop rhetoric.
ie. The NYPD is not arresting them.
The next three years should be interesting to watch.
“Well, Olivia, lets start with a permit.”
What government office does one apply for a First Amendment permit?
Well... I doubt 'we' will be doing the stupid stuff 'they' are doing.
No. I’m saying that they could make that claim when being arrested.
Which is why thousands of protestors in the past- like the ‘08 RNC- have been released afterward without charge.
Most of the people there protesting are just loudmouth a’holes.
Selling loosies.
“not arresting them and letting this sh!t continue is proof deBLOWsio is on their side...”
I don’t think you can arrest people for walking down a street.
Everybody hates Bill de Blasio. On his birthday, no one sings him “Happy Birthday”. They all sing, “You’re Another Year Older You Worthless Scumbag”.
